Ravet is a major residential zone in and lies in the Pimpri belt. Ravet is governed by the PCMC and there is huge demand for property in Ravet at present. JNNURM has also launched a non signaled grade-separated, 45 metre four lane BRT (Bus Rapid Transport) road which offers easy access to Aundh within only 10 minutes. Talegaon, Chakan, Chinchwad and Pimpri are easily accessible from the locality.

There are several organizations and establishments located near Ravet including the Bajaj Auto manufacturing unit, Telco, SKF and several reputed educational institutions like the Indira Institute of Business Management, Mercedes Benz School, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Distance Education, SB Patil Public School, Dr. DY Patil Institute of Management Studies and the DY Patil College of Engineering. The State Urban Development has also given the go-ahead for a PCMC proposal for widening 18 metre roads in Ravet to 30 and 45 metres in specific zones. Additionally, underpasses will also be built for greater safety and lower traffic congestion.
