Step 2: Click on ‘Check Challan Status’ and you will be redirected to the next page.

Step 3: Enter all the required information like your vehicle number or the challan number or your driving license number. You will then be redirected to another page.

You will be directed to another page that will display your Parivahan E-challan status. 

How to Pay e-Challan Online?

Step 1: Visit the Parivahan E-Challan official website and select the “check challan status” option from the navigation bar.

Step 2: Enter your vehicle or challan number, then click the “get details” button. challan shown in its entirety.

Step 3: When you select “get details,” information about your challan will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: From there, you can choose your preferred method of payment.

Step 5: After a successful payment you will receive a receipt reference number or challan receipt. 

How Many Payment Modes in e-Challan?

There are two types of payment modes in E- Challan.

Online Mode

Two different e-challan methods can be used to make payments when making payments online. The first option is for the user to go to the department’s official website, and the second is to use the number online payment module.

Step 1: Visit the official website at: echallan.parivahan[dot]gov[dot]in 

Step 2: Select an option from Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or DL Number.

Step 3: Enter the captcha code after selecting the relevant option.

Step 4: Click “get details” after entering the captcha.

Step 5: After that, you can select your preferred payment option.

Step 6: You must select the ‘Pay Now’ option to make the payment after viewing the information linked to the challan. 

After you pay successfully, you will receive an online receipt of your e challan payment.

Offline Mode

The defaulter must go to the nearest court or the closest police station and pay the challan either in cash or through UPI.

How to Check Pending Transactions for e-Challan?

Step 1: You must visit the E- Challan parivahan official website: echallan[dot]parivahan[dot]gov[dot]in/index/accused-challan 

Step 2: Select ‘Check online services’ fron the navigation bar.

Step 3: You must then select  ‘check pending transactions’ from the dropdown options. 

Step 4: You will then be redirected to another page where you must enter the challan number or the vehicle number.

Step 5: Next enter the given captcha and click on ‘get details’ 

Your pending challan transaction will appear on the screen. 

What to Do if You Received a Wrong e-Challan?

Implement the following if you are sure that you have not broken any traffic laws but have received a wrong e-challan.

  • You can contact the nearest police station in your area and report the occurrence if you receive a false challan.
  • Candidates can also email the traffic police about a misplaced e-challan, and authorities will revoke it after conducting a verification.
