Perfect minimalism Hussain and Tina Kuwajerwala’s home

Hussain Kuwajerwala, a well-known actor and anchor, and his wife Tina Kuwajerwala live in a residential apartment in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, Mumbai. It is a 3BHK house that has vintage decor but looks simple and cozy. It has all the facilities and luxuries needed. Their place shows the perfect difference between a house and a home as the winners of the Nach Baliye 2 couple have closely decorated their house according to their tastes and interests.

On many occasions, the couple has said they love spending time in their house with friends and family.

The house starts attracting us from the outside itself, with the huge wooden nameplate that says, “Tina & Hussain Kuwajerwala.”

A blend of Simple and Grandeur Look

The house has a huge living room, a cozy balcony, a small dining area, a kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. They have put a lot of time and effort into choosing how they want every inch of the house to be. The entire house is painted with light colors, and the home decor compliments the colors quite well, giving a very pleasant sense to anyone who looks at the house.

The living room is enormous and has the perfect airflow with windows in both east and west directions. The hall has a lovely 3-piece sofa set with white cushions, and the novel coffee table in the center is black. Between 2 of the couches are a small, yellow-colored phone table and stool. Their tiny size makes them look pretty and unique. The black coffee table and the black carpet under it perfectly contrasts the white couches surrounding them on 3 sides. The walls are creamy-white, and the wooden flooring enhanced the entire look of the living room.

Towards the right of the living room is the balcony, separated just by a glass wall. The actor said in many instances that it is the place where they hang out. Be it eating breakfast or hanging out with their friends. The balcony is always the place they prefer. It is a small square space but the coziest place to spend time. It has an L-shaped sofa with white cushions on one side and 2 huge, white-colored lounge chairs with geometric design. The square center table in the middle is also white. The red brick-designed walls have matched well with the white-colored furniture, giving a sense of calmness overall. Many plants are placed at the edge, and the open field area outside looks perfect for good ventilation that would not make them feel suffocated even on the hottest day of the year.

The dining area to the other side of the living room looks grand in its way. The wooden flooring of the living room continues to the dining area too. The lusturous black dining table could easily fit 10-12 members to dine in, and the balcony attached to it is filled with plants, creating a pleasing view to look at while dining.

The kitchen is fully modernized. There are many black-colored cupboards and drawers that can fit every kitchen accessory inside, making it look neat and clean from the outside. The kitchen counter is shiny black and looks smooth.

Although the house looks small, it is grand and completely luxurious with the full-house air conditioning, home theatre for the television, huge LED lights, and home automation for the entire house. Everything can be controlled with a single remote.

Well-thought Customization in Everything

Although the house is designed by the architect Naved Patel and contractor Piyush Mistry, the interior design of the house was very closely monitored by Hussain Kuwajerwala’s wife. Tina Kuwajerwala being an interior designer knows to choose the best of things from different places. Most of the furniture is from Dubai. A few pieces, like the palm-shaped chairs, are from Bali. The bathroom, kitchen tiles, and fittings are from Casa Mia.

Every furniture, accessory, and home decor is customized to be the best and most elegant while keeping the simplicity intact. The pan clock in the kitchen wall, for example, is just a simple décor but looks adorable. The clock hands rotate in the circle part of the pan while the handle is extended above it.

Tina made sure not to miss the latest trend of vintage décor. Be it the cane bike, or the red and black colored hand-cranked wall telephone décor piece near to the entrance of the balcony, or the metallic gramophone décor that could be seen as soon as you enter the living room, and many such decors and accessories have given a beautiful and vintage look to the house.

Even tiny things like the covers of the toss pillows on the couch, too, are perfectly chosen. The 3 couches in the living area have 3 different kinds of pillow covers. While 2 couches have simple designs, light brown colored on one couch and cream-colored on another, the third couch has customized white colored pillow covers with the words “LOVE” printed on one pillow in sparkling letters and the quote “dream a little dream of me” on another pillow.

The number of shiny decors on the balcony wall looks classy as they blend in so well with the flavor of the room. The wall near the dining table has mirror tiles that look attractive and dazzling and the palm chairs near the balcony entrance are unique and match well with the brick wall behind. The refrigerator is adorned with magnets – mementos from the various places that the couple has visited.

A glass trophy in the living room, which Hussain received for the Bollywood musical show Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince, highlights the décor. The most valued décor is the 2 huge books on one of the glass shelves that Tina has gifted to Hussein. The books are filled with many things that show the incredible love that Tina has for Hussein.

The Perfect Ambience to Relax and Regenerate Everyday

There are 3 bedrooms in the house. One of the rooms is a guest bedroom attached to the living room, immediately to the right after entering the house. The room has wooden flooring and is fully packed with furniture and accessories. The walls are painted in a light, greyish colour, and the wall behind the head of the bed has some small black colored engraved words about love and dreams. The bed is a foldable double bed that’s white, and it is mainly complemented with bedsheets and several pillows. Each pillow cover has a different design, some words on one, a photo of the Eiffel tower on another, etc. There is a concealed tall frame around the head of the bed, on top of which are many tiny decors that brighten up the room. The dark cream-colored cushioned armchair next to the huge glass window is one of the highlights of the room. To the other end of the window is a small, pink-colored antique-looking corner table with two drawers. To the other side of the bed, is a castle-shaped white cupboard which is another highlight of the room. It has some crockery, dinnerware, and a lot more space to fill up things.

The second room is comparatively spacious. It has a massive bed in the center, and the walls here are painted white. The wall at the back of the bed has a square frame with cut pipes ensconced in a glass. That is quite an artistic decoration that can grab the attention of anyone who enters the room for the first time. The bed has many concealed compartments, and one of the walls is full of substantial dark grey colored cupboards that can store an ample number of clothes and accessories. In one corner of the room are red-colored trunks from ‘Pitaara,’ which Tina received as a gift.

One of the bathrooms has an alternative pattern of black and white tiles resembling a chessboard. The walls are blue, and the shelf space is black. The blue and the black hues complement well with the chessboard flooring. The shelf space is huge, which can fit everything from towels to beauty products.

Anyone who would look at the master bedroom would immediately be in ‘awe’ of it. It’s gorgeous and has almost everything that people would want in their bedroom – a luxurious bed, enough space to move around and hang out, a hot tub, a walk-in closet, and a balcony. This room, too, is painted in white and the white-colored bed sheets contrast well with the cushioned space surrounding their mattress. The orange-colored lamp beside the bed suits the atmosphere of the room and the balcony is to the left of the bed. The small balcony attached to this room is filled with plants, and when curtains are open there is ample sunlight penetrating through the wide glass doors of the balcony.

The Jacuzzi (hot tub) is well segregated from the bedroom. While one half of the Jacuzzi is left open, a rectangular leather plank is on top of the other half. There are many pillows on the plank, making it look more like a diwan. The Jacuzzi is black, and so is the flooring and the walls. The flooring around the Jacuzzi is unique, separating it from the rest of the area. There are windows here, too, so an ample amount of light would easily penetrate through the windows’ door during the daytime.

The walk-in closet is quite spacious. There are huge, white-colored wardrobes with sufficient storage. The huge mirror and the light bulbs surrounding it add extra glam to the closet area. The mirror is on top of a black-colored console table on which small stands for bracelets and accessories are placed. Shoe closet is nothing less than a fascination with multiple shoes being showcased. The yellow-colored wall beside the shoe closet has a beautiful pink colored vertical board where the jewelry and accessories are hung.

Making the Home Memorable

There are many instances where both Tina and Hussein have shown glimpses of their house through photos on social media. Be it the dining hall or working out on the balcony. They have had countless memories in the house that could be seen through the photos they shared on social media.

According to Hussain, his house is the perfect place where he wants to spend time with his family and friends, and it is a place where he finds peace and comfort. Indeed, Hussain’s house is his happy place.
