It’s a small number with large implications. This stretch is part of a 59 km corridor that’s been under construction for years, and its quiet trial run this week is the clearest signal yet that Faridabad’s long-promised connectivity upgrade is finally arriving.<\/span><\/p>\n

This stretch, roughly 8.5 km of it elevated, connects directly into the larger DND-KMP corridor, of which 50 of a planned 59 km has now opened in phases. The average time using the Mathura Road or Kalindi Kunj corridor is around 50-60 minutes on a weekday. Once fully operational, it will pull traffic bound for Faridabad and Jaipur off the perpetually congested Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj stretch, rerouting it onto a purpose-built, signal-free corridor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A city that has spent over a decade being NCR’s overlooked middle child is now being wired into both the Delhi core and India’s newest international airport on the same infrastructure timeline. Faridabad is also getting a new international-standard railway station, budgeted at roughly Rs 300 crore, alongside the removal of railway level-crossings that have historically choked internal traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Impact on real estate<\/b><\/h2>\n

For homebuyers and real estate investors, a 20-minute Delhi commute reframes Faridabad from a fallback city into a genuine alternative for anyone priced out of Gurugram or South Delhi. For logistics and commercial players, a direct, faster link to both Delhi and Jewar airport strengthens the corridor’s case as a warehousing and light-industrial location, not just a residential one.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is still a trial, not a finished asset. About 15% of the Delhi-side expressway work remains pending, and full public opening awaits formal inauguration. Toll-free trial periods also tend to fuel premature price speculation in the surrounding market before the road’s actual capacity and traffic patterns are proven out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trial runs rarely make headlines twice, but they often mark the exact moment informed buyers start paying attention.
