Ahmedabad was chosen as one of the first 20 Smart Cities in India as part of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs&#8217; Smart Cities Mission. Ahmedabad received a 66.81% rating for the <\/span>Smart City Ahmedabad<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Plan submitted in 2015. Despite being the second-largest city on the list, Ahmedabad ranks sixth in India under the Smart City Plan.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Smart City mission, which focuses on over 100 cities, encourages mixed land use in area-based developments, developing walkable communities, expanding open spaces, promoting a variety of
