A congregational area is located on the porch of Tarakeswar Temple.

Also thought to have visited this location to worship the god was Job Charnok's wife, who was the founder of Calcutta. According to legend, this is where the nationalist leaders congregate and discuss important matters. It is known that they gathered to request Kali's blessings before the uprisings of 1824 and 1857.
