Moreover, the area is reachable through the Purple Line of the Namma Metro, which stops at the Mysore Road Metro Station, about 6 kilometres from RR Nagar. The Purple Line expansion project is currently under construction and is scheduled to be finished in 2023. Once completed, RR Nagar will have a metro station of its own. The additional line would link Whitefield in the east with Kengeri in the west.
