Established and built in 1925, Shivaji Park is now known as the largest part of Mumbai. It was established by the municipal corporation of Mumbai and has great historical importance too. During the time of British rule in India, the park served as the hub for meetings and gatherings of various freedom fighters. It also played an important role in the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement in the 1960s, which was a movement that led to the formation of Maharashtra.
