The call centre business thrives in the CBD Belapur and there are several out-bound companies here. CIDCO also built the International Technology Centre at the CBD Belapur railway station complex and this is a major infotech hub of Mumbai.The CBD Belapur railway station is a major connectivity lifeline for residents along with the Sion-Panvel Highway. Kharghar is easily accessible from the area while the Palm Beach Marg links it to Vashi. The railway service is available till Panvel. BEST buses connect the area to Wadala, Vashi, Sion, Chembur, Ghatkopar and Bandra. NMMT buses go till Dombivali, Thane, Vashi, Taloja, Badlapur, Uran, Khopoli and Panvel. Auto rickshaws and other public transport facilities are also readily available for residents. The Belapur Creek is a major attraction here. There are provisions for helicopter services but this is defunct at present. The Belapur Fort is also a big tourist attraction.Leading hospitals in the area include the MGM Hospital, Dr. DY Patil Medical College and the Dental College and Hospital. The Forecaster Institute and BV IT Polytechnic are also located here. Property prices have gone up by approximately 4.46% in the area as per Q3 2015 and average prices stand at around INR 6, 647 per sq. ft. here for the same period.
