Podcars Planned for Hyderabad's Congested Corridors

The state government is planning to introduce a 34-km Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system, also known as podcars, to enhance public transportation in Hyderabad's congested areas. This initiative aims to provide a new mode of transport to alleviate traffic issues, with automated, driverless electric podcars operating on elevated corridors to provide last-mile connectivity.

Regional Ring Road (RRR) South Section Faces Uncertainty as Central Government Awaits Alignment Decision

The Regional Ring Road (RRR) south section in Hyderabad has encountered a hurdle as the Central government has yet to decide on the alignment submitted by the Telangana government. The project has not been included under any central scheme so far. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is undertaking the RRR north section under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
