Mumbai Nasik Highway, Nashik

The Thane-Nashik Highway belt, from Majiwada to Ranjnoli/Kalyan, is entering a new growth phase due to 8-lane widening and the development of Mumbai-Thane freeway links. This infrastructure upgrade is expected to improve connectivity and facilitate economic activity along the corridor.

A 1.1km upgraded stretch of Trimbak Road in Nashik has been inaugurated, easing congestion and improving connectivity between western Nashik, the Satpur industrial estate, and Trimbakeshwar. This is a key infrastructure project in preparation for the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

In the last seven years, over 16,000 old properties in Nashik have been redeveloped. This trend indicates a significant push towards urban renewal and modernization of the city's housing stock, potentially leading to improved living conditions and increased property values in older areas.

NMC has mandated a 50:50 utilization of premium Floor Space Index (FSI) and Transferable Development Rights (TDR) to stimulate demand and expedite land acquisition processes. This policy aims to streamline development and potentially accelerate the pace of new construction projects.

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) requires approximately Rs 700 crore for the development of colony roads and roads in newly emerging areas. A detailed blueprint is being prepared for submission to the state government. This initiative aims to address the deteriorating condition of many colony roads and improve connectivity in developing zones, ensuring better urban infrastructure for residents.

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has established joint committees comprising officials from the Smart City Corporation and the civic body to accelerate the completion of pending Smart City projects valued at over ₹700 crore. This initiative is in response to the central government's decision not to extend the Smart City Mission beyond December 2025.
