Positives: It was really unique living in Bandra West; the very prestige and cosmopolitan feel of the place was charged with electricity. It was overwhelmingly secure, which was an enormous comfort, and having the Bandra-Worli Sea Link nearby was wonderful for speedy commutes to South Mumbai. The community lifestyle, with all the hip cafes, shopping on Linking Road, and the picturesque seaside promenades, was a social life dreams are made of. Negatives: The negative was certainly the cost, the living expenses were astronomical, and it wasn't budget-friendly. The other problem was traffic, particularly around Hill Road during rush hour, causing endless congestion. Then there were basic things such as parking, which were always a nagging, maddening issue in the congested streets, rendering car ownership nearly useless.

Positives: I have recently shifted to this area, and having the sea nearby is surely wonderful! The ambience here is totally different, with great upscale cafes, wonderful architecture, and the Bandstand walkway for serene evening strolls. It really feels like the city's cultural hub, and with the Western Railway and the Sea Link nearby, connectivity is excellent for short trips. Negatives: But the price of this way of life is astounding; the rent is outrageous, by far the most I have ever paid. Congestion on Linking Road and Hill Road is infuriating and sometimes makes the shortest drives feel long and interminable. Street parking is almost impossible, and frankly, the older infrastructure leaves us struggling with constant water supply problems in some of the residential enclaves. This place is wonderful.

Positives: The area is very well connected with Bandra Railway Station, Sion Bandra Link Road, and the soon to be operational Metro Line 2 making travel easy. The residents have access to quality schools like Mount Mary Convent and St. Andrews, and quality health services like Holy Family and Lilavati Hospital. For recreation, Globus Mall, Pali Hill restaurants, and Bandra's lovely promenades provide excellent alternatives. The combination of high-end and mid-segment housing developments by Wadhwa Group, Sheth Creators, and Supreme Universal Builders makes it attractive for various types of buyers. Negatives: Traffic snarls during rush hour and waterlogging in monsoon monsoons have a tendency to lead to waterlogging in a few low-lying areas, bringing occasional discomforts.
