Positives: I stayed in Vasant Vihar for a short while when I was employed in South Delhi, and the feeling of security there was simply unparalleled. Being a diplomatic neighborhood with broad, tree-lined streets made it very quiet and secure, both during the day and night. We had excellent connectivity to the Magenta Line Metro, and the IGI Airport was always a quick ride away. And, of course, the beautiful green parks were a peaceful haven from the city. Negatives: First, the rent and cost of living generally seemed disproportionate and untenable in the long run. Second, the main roads, especially near Basant Lok, tended to be terribly jammed during peak hours. Third, even with the wealth, parking near the housing blocks and markets was quite often a nerve-racking bother.
Positives: I stay in a flat in Vasant Vihar for a short while, and I enjoy its peaceful, tree-lined roads and upscale ambience. Positives: convenient proximity to IGI Airport and major roads, a nearby Magenta Line metro station, good parks and Basant Lok market for eating out and shopping, and known schools and hospitals in the vicinity. The area is neatly demarcated into blocks with small community parks, well-maintained houses, friendly neighbours, and a significant diplomatic population. Negatives: Negative sides are rent and daily expenses are too high; there is always a problem with parking, and authorities frequently fine cars parked illegally. Some roads are crowded during rush hours, and there are constructions which create dust. Nightlife and late-night services are few in relation to central Delhi.

Positives: It's one of Delhi's most sought after addresses. The area is famous for its high end independent residences, large builder floors, and accessibility to diplomatic enclaves. It's a calm, green, and well planned area with parks within every block. With good schools like Modern School and DPS in the vicinity, and proximity to IGI Airport and major roads. Negatives: Prices of property are one of the highest in Delhi, ranging from ₹90 lakh to ₹85.70 crore, depending on location and size. Also, parking problem because there is less space available, and traffic congestion is common. Vasant Vihar is still one of the top picks for those wanting luxury and ease of access in South Delhi.
Positives: You see, when my family purchased this lovely property in Vasant Vihar, we knew that we were making an investment in lifestyles, and I'm completely elated. The most striking aspect is the unmatched security and atmosphere, due to the diplomatic community and the broad, green streets. It really feels like a peaceful, green oasis. Add to this, with the Magenta Line metro and the IGI Airport being a driving distance away, the connectivity and location for international travel could not be better. Negatives: On that note, nothing is perfect! We certainly grapple with the two main downsides noted here. The bad traffic around Basant Lok market in the peak hours and the laughably high cost of living. It impacts everything from shopping for groceries to community services. Nonetheless, the tranquility and safety we experience here make the occasional traffic jam worthwhile.
Positives: As most Delhiites know, Vasant Vihar offers a very peaceful and serene lifestyle. The greenery here is top-class and it’s a different feeling once you enter to go home. Also, the wide roads are a major plus point and the proximity to the IGI Airport (you can reach in approximately 15 minutes). It’s posh, and so many embassies (Argentina, Romania, etc.) are also located here. The safety aspect is also top-notch with good policing and surveillance systems. If you want to stay in South Delhi, this is a good option. Negatives: I can only mention how congested it gets in Vasant Vihar in the peak hours these days.
Positives: I also felt extremely secure in Vasant Vihar numerous embassies nearby, peaceful roads, and sufficient street lighting made walks in the evening easy. The Metro railway station is nearby the airport, and connecting roads well to Chanakyapuri, RK Puram, & central Delhi. Modern Schools, hospitals, and Basant Lok market & other high end stores were always within reach. This area peaceful and greener than several other localities in Delhi. Negatives: What irked me usually was the cost rent or purchase there was extremely high. Then traffic was poor during peak hours, in market areas. Parking was always a problem in narrow roads, less guest parking. Also in summers water supply fell short in some blocks.
Positives: I relocated here as my office is close by and I enjoy the green streets of Vasant Vihar; I pay rent on a small apartment in a residential complex. The area is high-end and has a lot of embassies, so one feels safe and green. My travel is convenient with the Vasant Vihar metro on the Magenta Line and good road connectivity to Chanakyapuri and the airport. Local shops, schools and hospitals are dependable, and parks offer me morning walk choices. Negatives: I noticed a few drawbacks in this area. It includes rents and property prices are high, main roads become congested during peak hours, and certain pockets experience waterlogging or old infrastructure following heavy rainfall. On the whole, Vasant Vihar is appropriate for professionals who prefer peaceful, safe and easy access to the city.
Positives: My wife and I selected Vasant Vihar because it's really one of Delhi's most quiet and upscale neighborhoods, famous for being an embankment, a safe diplomatic zone with lots of embassies. Accessibility is incredible: there is the Vasant Vihar Metro Station right here, and the Indira Gandhi International Airport is just about 7 km from here. We also enjoy high-end facilities, like luxury shopping at Basant Lok Market and proximity to prestigious schools like The Shri Ram School. Negatives: Firstly, the prices of property are very high. It is one of the costliest localities in Delhi. Even with the broad roads in certain areas, traffic remains very heavy near big markets, particularly during rush hours. Second, parking is a problem that persists because the locality is that preferable and densely populated.
Positives: Having a house in Vasant Vihar has been an absolute value for me. The area is amongst the safest places to reside, owing to the existence of several foreign embassies and round-the-clock security around the locality. The infrastructure is up-to-date and extremely well-managed, with clean and wide roads and a proper water supply. Day-to-day living is hassle-free with excellent schools, quality hospitals, and shopping malls all within close reach. The area is also well-connected, with metro stations, buses, and highways making it convenient to get around Delhi. Negatives: The only downside is the expensive lifestyle, but based on the safety, comfort, and living style here, Vasant Vihar is well worth it.
Positives: I have been staying here for some time and have to say, Vasant Vihar is literally a wonderful place. It's extremely safe, and I don't feel afraid even late at night due to all the embassies located here. The metro station is right here, so getting around is not a problem. The parks are clean, and you have everything from high-end restaurants to small markets like Basant Lok within a ten-minute radius. It is like a peaceful refuge from Delhi's typical commotion. Negatives: The major downside for a tenant such as myself is the rent, which is totally outrageous. Everything costs a premium here. It is a wonderful place to reside, but you have to be ready to pay the premium price.
Positives: I stayed in Vasant Vihar for three years, and the memories of morning walks down green lanes and the relaxation of staying close to well-manicured parks and embassy regions are still fresh. I had liked the relatively quick commute to IGI Airport (around 10–13 km), convenient proximity to the metro and quality schools such as Tagore International within reach, so daily life and commuting had been easy. Negatives: I did have some genuine issues, as well. Water supply has been irregular at times and neighbors informed me of tanker reliance in dry periods, which irked me more than traffic. There's parking difficulty on some streets, and civic maintenance seemed to be sporadic in pockets, such as drains and potholes appeared during rainy periods. Homes here are expensive, and smaller houses are expensive, too.
