I really appreciate the unmatched quality of life here. Ten minutes of travel from the IGI Airport and is very near, the Magenta Line Metro station enables regular travel very simple. Large bungalows and builder floors make for an impeccably kept neighbourhood, and social life is strong because of the premium Basant Lok Market and great schools such Modern School nearby. The main benefit is the security and quiet. Still, because the area is so attractive and the homes are upscale, rental costs are inevitably very high and superior management of car parking In some market zones, daily access could be much better.

One of South Delhi's most opulent and secure areas, Vasant Vihar is a great option for discerning consumers looking for luxury and diplomatic closeness. Its main benefit is the availability of great, independent builder floors and bungalows, aimed at a premium population. With quick access to IGI Airport and major educational establishments like JNU as well as the Vasant Vihar Metro Station on the Magenta Line, the connectivity is great. Diplomatic and highly secure status cause constant demand in this region, which guarantees great rental returns and investment growth. Though the neighborhood has premium facilities, the restricted internal roads and great population density sometimes call for upkeep of street cleanliness beyond the central blocks. Chanakyapuri is very close to the area, along with the embassies and foreign consulates. It’s that kind of high-security neighborhood, where so many Government officers and top business tycoons stay. Thankfully, my child has got into JNU, which is very near to the neighbourhood as well. Yes, there is some air and noise pollution these days due to more vehicles, but the rest is absolutely fantastic.

Yes, property prices are costly, but it guarantees you a lot of exclusivity and safety. Traffic congestion and noise pollution are two things that can be improved in this neighborhood.

Vasant Vihar was my childhood dream, since one of my best friends used to stay here. I dreamt of staying here one day, and could fulfill my dream some years back, after I achieved some measure of success, by the grace of the Lord. What attracted me was the huge safety quotient of the locality, particularly since so many Government officers and bureaucrats live here. Many corporate biggies are also present in the neighbourhood, which means better planning, much improved roads, lots of greenery, and great amenities in terms of education, healthcare, shopping, etc. My only concern is the huge crowds during the peak morning and evening hours.

It's a complete privilege to work and live in Vasant Vihar. This is Delhi's finest diplomatic and residential enclave, providing an unmatched luxury lifestyle that my clients love. The special plus here is the great greenery, each block is like a peaceful, well-designed park, and we have excellent schools such as Modern School, here. Connectivity is quick through the Magenta Metro Line, and we are merely seven kilometres from IGI Airport, which is perfect for regular flyers. Although the neighbourhood is extremely secure and has upscale shopping at DLF Promenade, among other things, the biggest disadvantage is that housing is very unaffordable, one of the most pricey pin codes in Delhi, and parking is a serious issue because of the density of huge independent homes.

Vasant Vihar is one of the most posh localities in Delhi, make no mistake about it! The property costs are really high here, and that’s what makes it so exclusive. Plenty of Government officers (all high ranking) live here, along with VVIPs, businessmen, tycoons, etc. I like the greenery in the area, and the planned layout, along with the lovely roads to take walks every morning or evening. Safety levels are good, most probably due to VIP and diplomat movement here, while there are top institutions nearby, including JNU, DU, and IIT. Hospitals and civic amenities are top-class, while there are plenty of dining and shopping options at the Basant Lok market and Priya Complex. The only drawback is the peak-hour traffic.

For twenty years, Vasant Vihar has been the epitome of tranquility and luxury. The well established green cover and expansive bungalows throughout the blocks provide a peaceful, safe setting unequalled in Delhi due to our diplomatic enclave status. We enjoy world class social life and trade at Basant Lok and DLF Promenade, and connectivity is just right with the Magenta Metro line here and the airport merely seven kilometers away. It is really a commanding, favored position. The only single area that has to be better to sustain our good quality of life is committed traffic and congestion control, especially around the favorite Basant Lok market area.

If you can afford it, Vasant Vihar is one of the best places to stay in Delhi. Period. I miss staying here, since I had to move cities for my work commitments. You can easily find tree-lined streets and that classic Delhi vibe, with the mansions and several luxury buildings. The Vasant Vihar metro station is easily accessible from the locality, while there are several major roads here. Another advantage is that the IGI Airport is just 10-15 minutes away from this prime locality. Social infrastructure-wise, there is the Basant Lok Complex nearby, along with several restaurants, cafes, retail stores, and more. Reputed educational institutions like JNU and IIT are also nearby, along with leading hospitals. I think the only gripe that I possibly have is that the area is too costly, with limited land availability for new development.

Having lived here since childhood, I can safely say that it is one of the most prestigious localities in Delhi. One plus point is that the electricity and water supply are stable, and also the security and policing are excellent too. This is because many high-ranking Government officials stay here, along with leading business families, and high-net-worth individuals. Greenery is abundantly available in the neighbourhood, with many local parks, and many embassies are also present here, including the South African High Commission, the Embassy of Argentina, and more. It’s that kind of a prestigious locality. While I don’t live here now, I keep hearing about the increasing traffic congestion and pollution.

Living in Vasant Vihar is like staying in a quiet and posh neighborhood. I adore the greens, broad roads, and being near diplomatic enclaves, it is secure and quiet. Accessibility of the metro and roads such as Lala Lajpat Rai Road provide easy travel. Fine schools such as Modern School and The Shri Ram School, along with hospitals such as Holy Angels and Army R&R, are within reach. Shopping and eating out at Basant Lok Market and DLF Promenade is easy. But traffic jams on peak hours and some crowding in markets at times can be improved upon. Overall, this area is an excellent option for anyone.

Positives I recall Vasant Vihar being among the most sought-after addresses in Delhi, which had a peaceful, green, and very secure setting given its vicinity to diplomatic enclaves and embassies. I personally valued the high connectivity, with the Vasant Vihar Metro Station on the Magenta Line and easy proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport merely seven kilometres away. The locality had great social infrastructure, featuring top-class schools like Modern School and shopping facilities such as Basant Lok Market, which improved my quality of life significantly. I did see that certain internal roads were broken and in disrepair sometimes, and the local government certainly needed to tackle the recurring waterlogging and sewage disposal issues.

Positives: Being an owner here, residing in Vasant Vihar is absolutely a class apart experience. The luxury and feeling of safety are unmatchable, courtesy of proximity to the diplomatic enclave. The lush, expansive blocks and proximity to premier schools like Modern School and great health care facilities make it ideal for families. Our Magenta Line Metro stop is such a convenient one, and Basant Lok's high-end shopping is always entertaining. Even with the luxury, we still have problems with crumbling internal roads and acute waterlogging during the monsoons, which is unacceptable for a locality of this stature. Local authorities need to give priority to rectifying the underlying sewage disposal problems at once.
