Munirka is an urban village located in South West New Delhi lying in close proximity to Jawaharlal Nehru University and National Institute of Technology campuses. The locality primarily comprises DDA flats, New Delhi Development authority. the neighborhood of Munirka consists of the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on the south, Vasant vihar on the northwest, RK Puram on the northern side and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campus and Ber Sarai on south-eastern part.

Munirka is very well connected to the other parts of New Delhi through the Munirka Metro Station on the Magenta Line . The locality is on the periphery of the Outer Ring Road and Nelson Mandela Marg, which connects it to all the major regions of South, West and North New Delhi. New Delhi Railway Station, which is 14 km away, is the nearest railway station, while T1 and T3 terminal of the Indira Gandhi International Airport are about 8 km and 12 km respectively from the area.
