The Malad railway station is easily accessible from Malad East while the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is just 10-12 minutes away which is a major advantage for residents to say the least.There are several important road projects that have finally taken off and these will hugely benefit residents of Malad East. Connectivity to Goregaon Film City and also to Madh-Marve has been improved by these roads. The Shivaji Nagar Road connects Narmada Hall and Triveni Hall and is a major development in this stretch in addition to the Datta Mandir Road which is an important DP Road linking the Malad East subway to the . This stretch has been widened and diverts traffic from the SV Road, Marve Road and Malad station to the Western Express Highway. The latter is a major connectivity lifeline for residents. Rani Sati Marg is another major road that has been improved and widened. This also connects the Malad East subway to the Western Express Highway. The Khandwala Lane is a DP Road linking the Daftari Road and Dattamandir Road.Leading educational institutions like the St Francis School, Vidya mandir, St George High School, JDT High School and St Joseph High School are located in and around the area in addition to hospitals like the Dr. A.G. Mansoori Charitable Trust, Hayat Hospital, St Mary’s Maternity & Surgical General Hospital, Kripa Hospital and the Municipal Hospital among others. Malad East offers great connectivity to several shopping malls and centres in and the D’Souza Market is a major shopping centre here. Property prices have gone up by approximately 3.92% in the area as per Q3 2015 and average prices stand at around INR 14, 641 per sq. ft. here for the same period. Popular projects include Kanakia Spaces Levels, Omkar Alta Monte, Omkar Om Paradise and Raheja Township to name a few.
