About Sector 46, Gurgaon

Sector 46 is one of the poshest localities in Gurgaon, situated very close to NH-8. It is a planned locality with horizontal developments and offers the best civic facilities and social infrastructure for the locals. It is situated along Netaji Subhas Chandra Marg, which further connects it to the Sohna Road. It also shares connectivity with other prime localities of the city, making it a popular choice amongst new homebuyers and prospective tenants alike.

What’s Great About the Locality

Sector 46 is considered one of the best places to live in Gurgaon, especially for families. It offers a few of the best civic amenities and world-class schools in Gurgaon. There are well-equipped hospitals in close proximity that offer round the clock medical services. If you reside in sector 46, you probably won’t have to go too far in search of anything. Be it shopping complexes, beautiful parks to spend time with nature, or some recreational centres to spend a quality weekend with your family, you can get all of it nearby. Sector 46 even has an abundance of religious places around for your spiritual and religious needs. 

Along with great roads, the locality also offers swift public transport facilities and good street connectivity. It is also quite close to DLF Cyber City and other prominent workplaces.

What’s Not Great About the Locality

The locality is next to a slum area, which could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. Another drawback here is the waterlogging problem during heavy rains. The drainage system often gets choked, causing a lot of inconvenience for residents. Even though there are so many parks here, they are not maintained that well. 

The pollution is also something that needs to be taken care of. Frequent construction work and vehicles have spiked air pollution levels. A few incidents of theft have also been reported in the past, which is quite worrisome.

Physical Infrastructure and Livability Index

The locality is located very close to the heart of Gurgaon city and along the NH-8 which further connects it to Sohna Road. It is just 4 km from the Delhi-Jaipur expressway. The golf course road and golf course extension road are also just 15-20 minutes away from the locality. Commuting to and from here is not a problem. With an abundance of public transport available, there are two metro stations in very close proximity to the locality. One is the HUDA City Center Metro station at just 5 km away and the other is the Sector 54 Metro station. Another metro station on the yellow line of the Delhi metro is under construction.

Sector 46 also shares close proximity to the Gurgaon Railway Station, being just 8 km away from it. 

Social Infrastructure

The social infrastructure of the locality is a major attraction for many. It has some top class schools, such as the Amity International School, Manav Rachna International School, and HSV Global School. Some of the best hospitals here include  the Jain Hospital, Safe Hands Hospital, and more. 

Sai Ka Angan is a famous temple and a spiritual spot here. Some recreational places nearby include the Kingdom of Dreams. For shopping needs, you can visit the Omaxe Celebration Mall, the Raheja Mall, and the HUDA City Centre.

I usually don’t choose the metro when there is an option for the bus available. From the area sector 46, there are lots of bus services which almost connect this area to every corner of the city. Also, this place is near the Mayfield Garden bus stop, which is almost connected to the rest of the city but has lots of buses. Being an owner of a 3-BHK flat at Jalvayu Vihar of Sector 46, I have to say that this area has a lot of connectivity as it is situated next to Netaji Subhash Marg, which connects it to Sohna Road.
