Positives: I completely like that all the essentials are here close by good schools as Podar Intl, N.L. Dalmia, hospitals, malls & shopping close by. Connectivity is also good, we have Mira Road railway station, plenty of bus routes, and the Western Express Highway nearby, which makes it easy for people to commute. Plus, property prices are lower than in central Mumbai, so you get more bang for your buck. Negatives: In the monsoon, drainage is also an issue, waterlogging occurs on low lying roads, and journeys become messy. Moreover, traffic in peak hours is congested heavily, particularly at toll plazas around Dahisar, and some inner roads towards Thane are narrow which leads to a slowdown.

Positives: When I closed on my flat in Mira Road, I felt I had found a practical Mumbai home. Being an owner, I value good rail and road connectivity, a bustling local market and malls, nearby good schools and hospitals, increasing rental demand, and better infrastructure with the coming Metro line which will reduce commute time. Property prices are reasonable compared to many western suburbs, so it feels like an intelligent investment. Negatives: Certain areas within the area experience waterlogging in heavy monsoon rains. Certain sections also experience construction noise due to new developments expanding. Despite that, the convenience and value of the neighbourhood keep me extremely content living here. I love evening strolls around nearby parks; cheerful neighbours keep me grounded and cheerful.

Mira Road is a good location to stay rather affordably in Mumbai. At least the properties here are well within budget. Also, another thing to note is that the housing options are also plenty. I could find the right apartment type for my needs, considering we live in an extended family. The main thing about the place is the quick access to the Western Express Highway. This makes commuting simpler for most of us. Also, the overall amenities are quite decent; I can get almost anything I need within 5-10 minutes most of the time. Traffic jams are a perennial issue, but I can manage.

Mira Road offers a good lifestyle, which is a little more affordable than living in the prime Mumbai areas. I prefer it that way, particularly due to the friendly residential feeling, and the fact that it has not been commercialized to that extent. I am a woman who comes back late at night due to work shifts, and I have never felt unsafe here. Also, the social infrastructure is developing fast now, and this is due to more real estate projects being announced in the locality by top branded developers. The railway station is my preferred connectivity lifeline for commutes, although I feel that more last-mile connectivity can be implemented here for a smoother experience.

Developers are constructing new projects, and commercial demand is increasing. Schools, hospitals and markets are nearby. There are parks and sea faces that provide greenery and open area. Rental has high demand from professionals and students. My suggestion is Mira Road due to value and potential growth. Two areas that need improvement are traffic congestion frequently and uneven drainage and road maintenance.

Mira Road has always been a well-connected locality, as far as I can remember. I have literally grown up in this locality and seen its transformation into a hip and happening place. Plenty of residential complexes have come up lately, and of course, the railway station is nearby, the WEH is accessible, bus services are widely available, and most importantly, the upcoming Metro Line 9 will give a massive boost to the locality. Multiple gyms, ATMs, restaurants, local markets, schools, and clinics are also available here. What I like most about Mira Road is how friendly the people are. The whole community is so well-behaved. I am pretty happy about staying here. The only issue I have is that of increasing traffic congestion.

I recall selecting Mira Road years ago as the property prices provided phenomenal value and space, which remains a massive advantage compared to residing within Mumbai proper. It is an excellent self-contained locality with good schools, loads of green cover, and good connectivity through the Western Express Highway and rail line. The soon-to-be-constructed Metro Line 9, which shall revolutionize the travel to main business hubs. This location is safe and ideal for families. I do truly endorse it, but I feel the maximum effect can be created by the municipal corporation concentrating heavily on accelerating the completion of the remaining internal road and drainage works to stem dust and enhance monsoon commutes.

I was staying in Mira Road for about 3-4 years, when I was still struggling for my big break. Now, I can say that the area is very family-friendly and the people here are welcoming. Connectivity-wise, the Western Express Highway is easily accessible, while the upcoming Metro Line 9 will connect Mira Road to Andheri and Mumbai Airport. It should boost not only the property values, but also the overall profile of the locality. The double-decker bridge is planned here over the highway to clear the congestion, and the railway station is already there for commuters, with the BEST buses also. Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Kanakia are some of the top healthcare and educational institutions nearby. So, I have retained my property here, since I believe there is a handsome appreciation scope in the future. Water supply and waterlogging are two problems that I can point out in this locality. These need to improve.

The area has excellent connectivity via the Western Express Highway, local trains and the upcoming metro line. Schools, hospitals and supermarkets are all within easy reach. The neighborhood is quiet, with decent parks and sea breezes from nearby coastal belts. Property rates remain within affordable standards as compared to suburbs of Mumbai. The daily needs and entertainment areas are in abundance. Roads within the complex can become congested during rush hours, and drainage in pockets should be upgraded. Improved road planning and more efficient traffic management would make it ideal.

Positives: I resided in this neighborhood for a number of years and experienced it to be well-connected and child-friendly neighborhood. The Mira Road Railway Station offered convenient travel to Mumbai, and the neighborhood offered many bus stops, thus commuting was easy. I liked the availability of good schools such as St. Andrews Convent English School and RBK School, which provided quality education facilities. Medical facilities were also within reach, and hospitals like Sunrise Hospital and Samartha Hospital were close by. The neighborhood had several parks like Pleasant Park and Ramdev Park where recreational activities could be undertaken. But waterlogging was a common occurrence during the monsoon season, and the drainage needs some upgradation.

Positives: I like the hassle-free suburban lifestyle here. My apartment is near Mira Road railway station, so trains make travelling to Mumbai convenient. There are several schools, hospitals, malls and markets in the vicinity. New housing projects and good road connectivity near the Western Express Highway add value. Community life is active and local shopping is convenient. Parks and regular cultural festivals add to convenience. Properties are less expensive compared to central Mumbai. I am safe and comfortable. There should be better waste management and more parks. Two areas which could be improved are better connectivity by metro and systematic parking solutions.

Mira Road is one of the most buzzing localities to stay in Thane. I have lived here for quite some time and can tell you that the area is actually filled with families and peace-loving residential societies. All festivals are celebrated here, including Ganesh Chaturthi, and that too with a lot of pomp. Of course, price-wise, it does make sense if you are looking to stay in a well-connected place that’s a little away from Mumbai. Also, the beach in Bhayander is only half an hour away or a little more. It’s a good weekend activity for those who love beachside lifestyles. Multiple infra projects are happening here and once the metro line 9 comes here, it will be a great development for all of us. The only thing is that there is a little congestion and loads of vendors on the footpaths.
