The Maharashtra government has decided to cancel the proposed metro car shed project in Dongri, Mira-Bhayandar, Thane district, due to sustained opposition from local residents, environmental concerns, and land use issues. The decision, announced by Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, prioritizes citizen welfare and environmental protection, with plans of an alternative site to keep the metro project on schedule.

An urban forest has been inaugurated in Uttan under the Miyawaki concept by the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC). The court questioned the use of blacklisted contractors for road projects and has adjourned the matter for a detailed hearing on September 20.

The central government has approved the transfer of 53.174 acres of salt land in Thane district to the Maharashtra government for the Dahisar to Vasai Creek road project, which aims to improve traffic flow and connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The project is being executed in two phases: Dahisar to Bhayandar (Coastal Road) ), and Bhayandar to Vasai Creek .
