Presently, I reside in Pallavaram. Connectivity to the airport is something I admire. I often ride the metro from Chennai Airport. Local market contacts make life secure for my family. My recommendations aim to address the water scarcity problem and the excessive GST Road congestion. Every amenity makes life so simple here.

I really like having a house here. The airport and the GST Road are rather close. For everybody, I advise Vels University and BP Jain Hospital. My MEPZ office is close by. On weekends, I enjoy dining at Buhari's. Still, the absence of clean drinking water bothers me, especially in this region.

I confidently suggest Pallavaram to customers. I emphasize Sankara Eye Hospital and nearby excellent institutions and colleges. I point to airport employment and offices along GST Road. Although I much advise this area, the old underground drainage network constantly needs to be upgraded since it can result in slight waterlogging problems during strong monsoons.

I am pretty hopeful about the fast completion of the Phase II of the metro network. This will bring more value appreciation and development to the neighbourhood. I work in the OMR belt and there are many IT hubs here. It is very accessible from this locality. Social amenities are also well-developed in this locality, which is another plus point, while the groundwater supply is decent. Garbage disposal and traffic congestion are two issues that need to be fixed here.

Honestly speaking, Pallavaram is a decent neighbourhood for a settled family life in Chennai. Now, I must mention, that the OMR access is very vital for me, at least. I work in an IT company along this stretch, and it’s easy to get here from my home without any troubles. The GST Road runs nearby, while the suburban railway access is also there. So, connectivity-wise, it’s pretty much sorted, while the place has a distinct history of its own. You can spend entire weekends exploring the ancient ruins and sites in the place. Flooding and waterlogging are the main issue in this neighbourhood.

Also, the biggest plus point is how the airport is only 1.5 km away, making it very convenient for anyone who is a frequent flyer. The quaint Friday market is another special facet of the locality. Water quality needs a thorough re-check, especially after contamination reports earlier.

Pallavaram is a good place to stay. I personally like the proximity to the Chennai international airport. It’s just 1.5 km away, which is a huge plus point, to say the least. Also, the GST Road and Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam 200 Feet Radial Road are nearby, linking to several IT hubs along the entire OMR stretch. Then there is also the Pallavaram railway and bus networks, while the metro phase II is also anticipated to come up soon. The locality is home to several hospitals like Deepam and KM, along with schools like Alpha, supermarkets, stores, ATMs, and more. In fact, I was awestruck when I learnt that the area has a historic past, with several Paleolithic Age artifacts found here. The Pallavaram Hill is the place to visit for viewing the ancient temples and monuments, while the bustling Friday market has functioned from the 1800s! The only issue here is water contamination at times and drainage problems.

I've been a homeowner in Pallavaram for more than a decade now, and I just love the functional living here. It's super connectivity with easy access to GST Road and railway station and proximity to prominent IT centers like Chennai One promises future career opportunities and high-value investment. Here, housing is extremely affordable compared to other areas in the center of town, and it offers great value for money. We also get the bonus of future expansion from Metro Phase II, which is great news. For long term growth and improved quality of life, the upgrade of utmost importance required is for a whole new underground drainage system to replace the aged one.

Positives: Pallavaram was just such a lively and historically vibrant community to live in, and I relished every single bit of it, from the ancient Pallavaram Cave Temples to the activity of the Cantonment area. The connectivity was really one of its biggest positives, being located right on the Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road, very close to the Chennai International Airport. Furthermore, having a railway station and a metro station close by facilitates convenient travel. We had great social infrastructure with wonderful schools such as Saint Sebastian's Matriculation and hospitals readily available at all times. My one desire was to have more green spaces constructed, as the place itself was a bit short on parks relative to other suburbs of Chennai. Also, the overall air quality could be better due to proximity to industries.

Positives: I am thoroughly contented and pleased with the choice my family has made to have a flat in Pallavaram. It provides such a strategic and convenient lifestyle. The greatest advantage is the unmatched connectivity, particularly being just 3 km from the Chennai International Airport and having easy access to major IT parks via the Radial Road. The daily commute is made easier by the proximity of the railway and bus stops, facilitating easy local travel. The combination of excellent educational centres and heritage sites, such as the old cantonment, lends the area an interesting flavour. All things are inexpensive here. Still, I truly wish that the infamous peak-hour traffic jams on the side of the main GST Road flyover were better controlled to enhance the daily routine.

Pallavaram is a good area to stay, since I could find an apartment here within my preferred budget range. So, I will have good things to say about the area, anyway. What’s another important point is that the railway station is a big hub for connectivity. I always wanted someplace budget-friendly with railway connectivity. This ticked my boxes, and the people here are quite warm and friendly. So, this is one of the good places you can consider for your family in Chennai. While the Blue Line is well-connected to Pallavaram, it is still a little far away from Pallavaram. This is one thing that I am not very happy about.
