Having quick access to GST Road and the Pallavaram Railway Station simplifies all my travel plans being only three kilometers from Chennai International Airport. With Vels institutions, prestigious hospitals, and the historical Pallavaram Hill lending a special charm and security to the area, it seems like a lovely, well-developed community with great social infrastructure. The simplicity of the Radial Road's route to the IT corridor and the practicality of the lively local Friday market are what I most appreciate. Although I much advise this area, the old underground drainage network constantly needs to be upgraded since it can result in slight waterlogging problems during strong monsoons.

Positive: Staying in Pallavaram for the past year, I really like the easy nature of this neighborhood. Out-of-town travel is so simple since the Chennai International Airport is just minutes away and the railway station is barely a stroll from here. For work also, the roads like the GST Road and the radial link to IT corridors offer great connection. I also find the abundance of excellent schools, medical facilities, and the busy Friday market close by to be appealing.

Negatives: Major roadways have heavy traffic during rush hour, which lessens the pleasure of commuting. Second, drainage in some of the more aged lanes needs consideration during the monsoons I have witnessed spots of water-logging, which can be clumsy.

Negatives: The huge traffic jam on the Pallavaram Thoraipakkam Radial Road, particularly around the Kamakshi junction, is infuriating. Moreover, the civic facilities, i.e., unstable drainage and a clean supply of water, need to be addressed by the authorities before there is additional construction.

Pallavaram is a good place to stay in Chennai, if you’re looking for a family-friendly neighbourhood. The GST Road is nearby, and the Chennai airport is also well connected to the neighbourhood. I am pretty hopeful about the fast completion of the Phase II of the metro network. This will bring more value appreciation and development to the neighbourhood. I work in the OMR belt and there are many IT hubs here. It is very accessible from this locality. Social amenities are also well-developed in this locality, which is another plus point, while the groundwater supply is decent. Garbage disposal and traffic congestion are two issues that need to be fixed here.

Positives: I have stayed close to the Pallavaram Railway Station. The place is special due to its twin connectivity, steps away from both the GST Road and the Railway Station. The airport is around 3km away, which is a major plus point. The best thing about it is the high-spirited community and the safety aspect, along with having excellent schools like Vels Vidyashram in the vicinity being ideal.

Negatives: My key concern is the waterlogging of the sub-lanes whenever there is heavy monsoon rain, which is unfavourable and must have immediate improvements in drainage systems. The second thing I am concerned about is the noise pollution, planes fly over here very often because the airport is very nearby.

Honestly speaking, Pallavaram is a decent neighbourhood for a settled family life in Chennai. Now, I must mention, that the OMR access is very vital for me, at least. I work in an IT company along this stretch, and it’s easy to get here from my home without any troubles. The GST Road runs nearby, while the suburban railway access is also there. So, connectivity-wise, it’s pretty much sorted, while the place has a distinct history of its own. You can spend entire weekends exploring the ancient ruins and sites in the place. Flooding and waterlogging are the main issue in this neighbourhood.

The Deepam and KM Hospitals are nearby, along with leading educational institutions like Alpha International, Omega, and others.

Monsoon waterlogging and floods are the biggest problem in this area, along with sewage and drainage overflow, more towards the Chromepet stretch.

Negatives: I noted that traffic jam on the main roads, such as the GST Road, is a serious everyday problem. I believe that the local roads in the residential enclaves are generally poorly maintained and suffer from water logging during heavy rain. I believe that there is a shortage of large, well-maintained public parks, and there should be more to offset the high-density urbanization.

Pallavaram is a good place to stay. I personally like the proximity to the Chennai international airport. It’s just 1.5 km away, which is a huge plus point, to say the least. Also, the GST Road and Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam 200 Feet Radial Road are nearby, linking to several IT hubs along the entire OMR stretch. Then there is also the Pallavaram railway and bus networks, while the metro phase II is also anticipated to come up soon. The locality is home to several hospitals like Deepam and KM, along with schools like Alpha, supermarkets, stores, ATMs, and more. In fact, I was awestruck when I learnt that the area has a historic past, with several Paleolithic Age artifacts found here. The Pallavaram Hill is the place to visit for viewing the ancient temples and monuments, while the bustling Friday market has functioned from the 1800s! The only issue here is water contamination at times and drainage problems.

I've been a homeowner in Pallavaram for more than a decade now, and I just love the functional living here. It's super connectivity with easy access to GST Road and railway station and proximity to prominent IT centers like Chennai One promises future career opportunities and high-value investment. Here, housing is extremely affordable compared to other areas in the center of town, and it offers great value for money. We also get the bonus of future expansion from Metro Phase II, which is great news. For long term growth and improved quality of life, the upgrade of utmost importance required is for a whole new underground drainage system to replace the aged one.

Pallavaram is a very family-friendly area, with multiple residential societies coming up here over the past few years that I was here. The GST Road is a major advantage for connectivity, offering easy access to the OMR belt. Tambaram and Guindy are also pretty accessible from the locality, while there are several schools like the Vales International School in the area. KM Hospital and many other hospitals are also situated in the neighbourhood, while other social amenities are pretty decent here.

But, I had to move out, since the metro station access is not there. Yes, a new line is planned for the Kilambakkam locality, but I do not know when it will materialize. Also, the waterlogging in some pockets has to be fixed by the authorities.

Positives: I’ve rented here in Pallavaram, and the location is fantastic for connectivity. It's close to the GST Road, the railway station, and honestly, having the Chennai International Airport just 3 km away is a massive plus for my job. The area has plenty of good schools and hospitals, and since it’s near major business hubs like the IT corridor, the rental demand and safety are very high.

Negatives: The most pressing problem is the traffic congestion in heavy traffic hours on main roads. Also, The drainage system must be overhauled completely because waterlogging is a major issue in low-lying areas in monsoon and we require efficient waste management to curb the garbage accumulating in certain inner lanes.

Positives: I highly suggest this Pallavaram area as a home owner. Availability of the Pallavaram Railway Station and GST Road connectivity are major factors. Having our locality on the MEPZ SEZ employment zone and close to the airport is a big advantage for working professionals. The neighborhood is safe. Pallavaram Hill provides a distinct character to our locale.

Negatives: There are a few key infrastructure areas that require upgradation. The first is securing the municipal water supply, since the dependence on borewells rises significantly during summers. Second, the storm water drainage network requires a complete overhaul to handle heavy monsoon rain intensities effectively and avoid large scale stagnation of water in low lying residential localities.

Positives: The Chennai International Airport was close at hand, and Pallavaram Railway Station and metro facilitated easy commuting. Saint Sebastians and Sri Chaitanya Techno School were within reach, and hospitals such as LK Hospitals offered quality healthcare. Negatives: But peak hour traffic congestion was common, the frequency of public transport could be increased, street lighting was patchy, air pollution along industrial estates was high, there were few night-life options, and there were few parks. Pallavaram was otherwise vibrant and well connected, but it required infrastructure and environmental enhancements.

Positives: Pallavaram is historical touch while embracing modernity. The ease of access to Chennai International Airport, good road connectivity through GST and Pallavaram Thoraipakkam Radial Road, and the availability of metro and railway stations nearby make commuting convenient. We have good schools, JIP Diabetic and LK Hospitals, and a few parks for family picnics. Local markets and shopping malls contribute to the lifestyle factor, and it is a popular choice among residents who value comfort and convenience.

Negatives: Limited green areas and sporadic air pollution are potential downsides. There is minimal nightlife and some commercial pockets are still in development. There is also traffic during rush hour that is a nuisance for travelers.

Positives: I wake to the ring of temple bells and the aroma of idlis wafting from a nearby tiffin centre. My flat is near the Pallavaram railway station and several local buses, so it's convenient to go to Tambaram and the GST Road. There are good schools, small hospitals, Friday market kind of markets, and peaceful DDA parks within walking distance. I have good neighbours and an abundance of shops for everyday needs.

Negatives: I believe it is more appropriate to park maintenance and night street lighting. Also, I require better street-level sanitation and waste bins. In addition, quicker completion of the Metro/road works for smoother connectivity.

Positives: I recently relocated to here and I personally enjoy staying here. The place is peaceful but vibrant. There are numerous mini parks and green spaces where I can unwind in the evenings. SBOA and St. Thomas International schools are nearby, which is convenient for families. Supermarkets, vegetable markets, and shops are easily accessible for day-to-day shopping, and clinics and hospitals are also nearby in case of health needs. Negatives: Nevertheless, a couple of areas can be improved upon. A few inner lanes require improved paving, there is poor street lighting in a couple of pockets, and water supply can be variable in summer. Positives: I am thoroughly contented and pleased with the choice my family has made to have a flat in Pallavaram. It provides such a strategic and convenient lifestyle. The greatest advantage is the unmatched connectivity, particularly being just 3 km from the Chennai International Airport and having easy access to major IT parks via the Radial Road. The daily commute is made easier by the proximity of the railway and bus stops, facilitating easy local travel. The combination of excellent educational centres and heritage sites, such as the old cantonment, lends the area an interesting flavour. All things are inexpensive here. Still, I truly wish that the infamous peak-hour traffic jams on the side of the main GST Road flyover were better controlled to enhance the daily routine.

Positives: I have a flat in Pallavaram and I prefer the convenience here. Short positives: near Pallavaram railway station and GST Road, easy access to Chennai airport, good schools and hospitals, malls and parks nearby, and increasing property demand.

Negatives Nevertheless, I have three irritations. First, traffic along GST Road and around the station increases a ten-minute journey to many times that. I sorely wish that traffic planning was improved. Second, waterlogging and intermittent polluted water frighten my family during downpours. Drainage and water testing need to be improved urgently here. Third, construction noise and restricted parking around markets stress me every day. Very strict site controls and additional parking are required. I remain here because the place is convenient and developing. I would recommend it for domestic life these days.

Positives: I believe I totally made the right decision in shifting to Pallavaram! For a working professional like me, the place cannot be beat as the Pallavaram Railway Station is right at my doorstep. Also, I can easily access the IT corridor through the Thoraipakkam Radial Road. And then with the airport merely 3 km from here, going anywhere is easy! Given all these facilities and its central location, the rent here is amazingly low.

Negatives: The only aspects that sometimes annoy me are environmental. Since we're near factories, there's usually visible air pollution on some days, which is a problem. Additionally, although there are a few small parks for kids, I really miss having big, extensive green belts to jog and relax on. All else about living here is just wonderful.

Positives: After I had lived in Paschim Vihar for so long, I recalled its structured pattern and convenient living. I enjoyed the robust local markets such as Jawala, decent schools and hospitals within proximity, lush parks and the Paschim Vihar Metro stops, which made commuting easy. Several DDA and cooperative colonies were safe and family-oriented.

Negatives: But life there had issues. First, waterlogging occurred when the monsoon rains poured, filling up low-lying alleys. Second, the drainage was clogged and stinking. Third, roads were potholed and required maintenance. Fourth, garbage disposal was irregular in some areas. It left the houses messy. Despite that, I departed with happy memories of market mornings and neighbourly chai. Those simple days always remained warm in my heart and made me smile.

Positives: I purchased my house in Pallavaram years back and I still like the small-town atmosphere near the city. I prefer to be close to Chennai Airport and Pallavaram railway station, making travel convenient. Good schools, hospitals and local shops are available, and new homes keep property demand stable. The large Pallavaram lake provides a peaceful view and a local touch to our community.

Negatives: But I see some genuine problems as well. The lake is open to pollution and illegal dumping that concerns residents. Water supply and contamination incidents have impacted pockets here previously, so we keep our taps in check. Drainage and civic maintenance require constant care, with monsoon waterlogging and irregular waste collection being typical complaints. In spite of these, I feel happy to own a house here.

See, I have moved into the place sometime earlier, and it’s been a few months now. As a tenant, my building is pretty good enough. The people are quite welcoming, actually, and I get to work through the OMR each day. Many offices are located along this stretch, including mine. Also, I have to fly out for client meetings frequently, so access to the airport is another USP worth noting in this case. The overall vibe of the neighbourhood is also nice, with the Pallavaram Hill being here.

My only complaint is that more public transportation facilities should be available for the last-mile connectivity.

Pallavaram is a good area to stay, since I could find an apartment here within my preferred budget range. So, I will have good things to say about the area, anyway. What’s another important point is that the railway station is a big hub for connectivity. I always wanted someplace budget-friendly with railway connectivity. This ticked my boxes, and the people here are quite warm and friendly. So, this is one of the good places you can consider for your family in Chennai. While the Blue Line is well-connected to Pallavaram, it is still a little far away from Pallavaram. This is one thing that I am not very happy about.

Positives: I discovered that this location is a quiet, well-linked locality. The area provided easy connectivity to the airport and good road links through the Pallavaram–Thuraipakkam Radial Road, hence making commuting easy. The availability of schools, hospitals, and markets within close proximity made life easy. The locality also provided a combination of residential and commercial areas, hence giving a balanced lifestyle. Negatives: Nonetheless, there were some negatives. The location was often packed. Moreover, constant construction in the area caused noise and pollution. Finally, property prices were a bit high, which made it less accessible for others. Positives: I am a short-term female tenant in Pallavaram, and I appreciate how convenient all the amenities are here. The airport is close by, and therefore transport is convenient for me. Overall, I am fine here, but hopefully the civic works complete soon so it becomes quieter and smoother to reside here.

Garbage has been piling up in some places & stuck, and there are complaints of uncleanliness. There is also traffic during rush hour that is a nuisance for travelers. Water Logging problem hit some low lying area & roads during monsoon heavy rain.

Positives: I purchased my flat in Pallavaram five years ago, and I have not regretted it a single bit; the ease here is unparalleled. We have amazing transport connectivity, being just a step away from the Pallavaram Railway Station and the GST Road. With the Chennai Airport within less than 2 km, traveling becomes a breeze. The large number of good schools, such as Vels Vidyashram, and good hospitals around us ensures that everything necessary is at our doorstep. The high community spirit and quantity of new developments are proof enough that this is a good place to invest in property. Negatives: My single genuine grievances as an owner pertain to the infrastructure. In heavy monsoons, we are still plagued with waterlogging problems in the sub-lanes because of a bad drainage system, which is a significant hassle.

Positives: One of the good things about this locality is how well-connected it is to the suburban network through the Pallavaram railway station. Moreover, several hospitals, shops, markets, entertainment venues near, so daily chores were easy. Negatives: The main roads area and flyover clogged with traffic. Also, although most areas are well-developed, some roads and sections still suffered poor maintenance. Areas became congested, and at times noisy too. Then, rents and property prices have been increasing rapidly. Lastly, I can say collection of waste and cleanliness varied.

Positives: When I initially shifted to Pallavaram for a temporary work, I appreciated its practicality. It is proximate to Chennai International Airport and located on GST Road, with Pallavaram railway station providing good suburban connections. Basic needs are accessible, I have schools, hospitals and markets like Grand Galada just around the corner. New flat developments and reasonable rents accommodate tenants. The old cantonment enclaves and small parks keep mornings peaceful. There is also good auto rickshaw and bus connectivity for short distances. Negatives: I experienced peak-hour traffic on the GST Road is heavy. Also, airport noise and dust due to surrounding construction disturb me; some low-lying roads get flooded during the heavy monsoon. Service-wise, despite these, services are convenient and traveling to IT parks or downtown Chennai is easy and economical.

Positives: It was a great idea to shift to Pallavaram since the area is indefectible regarding connectivity. The Chennai International Airport is a mere 3 km away. We have great transport facilities with the Pallavaram Railway Station, main roads such as GST Road, and a good bus route. And we have all the basic amenities within reach, such as good schools, hospitals such as LK Hospitals, and major work centers nearby. Negatives: Nonetheless, I must be truthful about some negatives. Traffic is a big daily headache. Because the area is close to industrial belts, we get air pollution at times, and foliage is fairly rare relative to other suburbs. And overall nightlife here is rather mild, which may be disappointing to some young residents.

Positives: Pallavaram is the ideal mix of what my family and I were looking for. It is so peaceful living here compared to being smack in the middle of Chennai, particularly with the Pallavaram hills around here adding a nice, green element. We have very good schools, hospitals, and all the stores we need within a stone's throw. And I also think that the historical value here is just so quaint. Being just next to the Old Mahabalipuram IT corridor is an enormous benefit, which actually warrants the investment. Negatives: The only tiny glitch, as with any busy Chennai road, is that the main junction traffic can be a bit congested in peak hours, but that's a tiny compromise for such a strategic and pretty spot.

Positives: I shifted to Pallavaram primarily due to its proximity to the airport. The GST Road and the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road provide me easy access to both the city center and the IT corridor. We have the railway station and metro within walkable distance, along with numerous bus stops. Our daily requirements are well met here with markets, shops, and restaurants such as Yaa Mohaideen for biryani. Parks such as Cantonment Park and good hospitals and schools nearby make the area family-friendly as well. Negatives: Nevertheless, residing here has a few problems. GST Road traffic and traffic within Pallavaram are heavy during rush hours. The locality is also near some factories, so air quality is not always good. Nightlife is nearly non-existent, and outside of a few parks, there is not much greenery.

Positives: The area is peaceful, friendly with ample of shops, schools, and parks nearby. The Chennai International Airport is hardly minutes away from here, and so travelling was convenient. The locality is properly connected with the Grand Southern Trunk Road, metro station, and Pallavaram railway station. There are good hospitals like JIP Diabetic and LK Hospitals in close proximity, and shopping malls like Grand Galada Centre are also easily accessible. I had a liking for the local restaurants too. Negatives: Traffic becomes poor at peak times, particularly on GST Road. There is little green space, so I missed areas where I could walk freely for long distances. Air pollution is evident because of the local industries and there is hardly any nightlife, which made my nights somewhat boring.

Negatives: One thing I do see is planes fly frequently because we're near Chennai airport and the cantonment area, so you can hear planes from time to time, not a deal breaker for me, but good to know. Otherwise, it's a well-connected, lived-in suburb with old neighbourhood character and convenient facilities.

I observe there are a lot of schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and local markets around, so routine life is easy. Markets, banks, schools, and hospitals are everywhere, so I don't have to actually go very far for anything. IT centers like Tambaram and Guindy are also within easy reach from here, and the GST Road keeps us conveniently connected to other areas of the city. Even the residential zones here have some proper greenery. Negatives: The only negative I find is that some of the inner roads require more maintenance. Otherwise, allover Pallavaram is extremely comfortable to stay.

Positives: I have been residing in Pallavaram for some time now, and it is a wonderful location for me. Particularly, this area is convenient with the airport just nearby. The area is well connected with a railway station and national highways. It has all the essential facilities such as schools, markets, and hospitals. Negatives: The only true negative is that some places could have more streetlights, and a couple of the roads aren't kept up. Beyond that, it's a fine place to reside.

Positives: I came here to stay because Pallavaram is a wonderful combination of old and new. It is properly connected to main roads and the airport. It is an IT center as well, so a very good place for professionals. All the essential amenities are readily accessible. Negatives: Traffic is a big problem here, particularly in peak hours. The air and noise pollution can be overwhelming. It also experiences waterlogging during monsoons because of a poor drainage system, which is really inconvenient.

Positives: I prefer residing in Pallavaram due to its excellent connectivity. The flyover and being close to the airport are big positives. The location is full of schools and hospitals, and it is less expensive compared to other adjacent locations. Negatives: The traffic is certainly a hassle, particularly during rush hour, which can be quite frustrating. The area becomes somewhat polluted due to the surrounding industries as well.

Positives: I like to staying in Pallavaram for its Chennai airport is just 3 km away, road and rail connectivity (GST Road, buses, Pallavaram station) is good, and there are quality schools, hospitals, malls and lots of new housing schemes. Negatives There is heavy traffic during rush hours, greenery is scarce, air pollution from adjacent industries increases at times, and nightlife is subdued.
