I have lived in Sarai Kale Khan for so long because every other major point of the city like Noida and Ghaziabad is very close to it. The inter-state bus stand and the Delhi Metro Pink Line adds to the convenience of commuters. It is also adjacent to the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. I have never experienced issues like power cuts or shortages of water supply and the area is safe.
I lived in Sarai Kale Khan as a university student and it was a very good locality. For daily commuting, we used the metro railway or the bus service. I remember that the grocery stores and other convenience stores in the locality were open till 11 pm, while the medical stores were open till 12, adding to the convenience of the local people. The basic needs of the residents were fulfilled easily.
I am a resident of Sarai Kale Khan and overall, I am very satisfied. However, the only the problem I face is that the roads become very unclean, especially when it rains. Furthermore, the locality has issues like theft and some other minor crimes. Other than that, I have no complaints. I have good access to hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls, grocery stores, markets, and medical stores. Traffic conditions are good as well.
I rented an apartment in Sarai Kale Khan because I liked the neighborhood and how the locality is connected to all the major points of the city. However, I also feel that the locality is unhygienic to a certain extent, and it is important to address the issues of pollution and maintain proper cleanliness. The availability of public transport, cabs, buses, and the metro makes commuting even easier for people.
After having lived in Sarai Kale Khan for many years now, I can say that it is a very good locality with good connectivity to the other parts of Delhi through the inter-state bus services and metro railway. Therefore, in terms of safety, lifestyle, connectivity, and transport, it is also one of the best. With everything available in a walking system, there are no complaints. Overall, I am very satisfied.
