Situated in the centre of the city, sector 14 can be said to be one of the well-developed residential localities in Gurugram. The rapidly improving infrastructure has been attracting more prospective tenants and house buyers to settle here recently. The locality offers great connectivity to the rest of Gurugram and is nestled in the centre of the city. The locality also offers quite reasonable rates to rent apartments here.
Sector 14 has shown some major developments in recent years. Be it in terms of roads and connectivity, schools, hospitals, or any other civic amenities it has everything in such close proximity. The Delhi road and the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road connect the locality to the rest of Gurgaon. The authorities have been taking the encroachment problems seriously and a lot of it has been resolved. Sector 14 is not very far from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, and it shares close proximity with the Gurgaon Railway station. It has some of the best hotels, schools and hospitals around. There are several recreational places to visit such as Kingdom of dreams and Fun N Food Village. To sum it up, with all the facilities around, it is one of the best localities to live in Gurgaon.
The problem with being a part of the prime localities is that the traffic never slows down here, and the same is the problem with sector 14. The traffic snarls never die down here and the roads are almost always blocked with vehicles. The constant honking and other sounds of traffic can be problematic at times. The locality is also very prone to flooding and often faces the problems of waterlogging during heavy rains.
Another problem that the residents have been complaining about is the frequent power outage here during the summer. The summers in Delhi are already hot enough and power cuts just make it worse. The area has also been suffering from the problems of pollution due to frequently ongoing construction activities and the presence of factories and other industries.
The road network of the locality is quite good and so is the connectivity. It is situated in very close proximity to the railway station at just 7 km. There are two metro stations, i.e. the MG road and the HUDA city centre metro stations at just 4 km away, and even the IGI Airport is not very far from here. The Gurugram State Terminal is just 2 km from here.
There have been recent improvements in the water supply pipeline. The drainage system is not that good, and the area is quite prone to flooding. The livability index overall can be said to be average here.
Sector 14 is popular amongst house buyers due to its infrastructure. The locality has some of the best hospitals around such as Kalyani Hospital, Jain Hospital, and Mamta Hospital. The schools nearby include the DAV Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, and Air Force School. A new metro station is under construction, and there are several public recreational places around.

Nestled in the heart of the city, the locality is easily accessible from various locations. You can simply take a cab to reach here from any part of the city. You can also take a metro to reach the MG Road and HUDA City centre metro stations and then an auto or bus to reach here.
