PM Modi Inaugurates Rs 35,000 Crore Infrastructure Projects in Vadodara, Boosting Connectivity and Economic Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated, dedicated, and laid foundation stones for development projects exceeding ₹35,000 crore in Vadodara. Key projects included three sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), spanning 326 route kilometers and costing over ₹20,700 crore, which now provides direct rail connectivity to Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT).

Mahi Barrage Project Approved for ₹1,700 Crore, Benefiting Vadodara and Surrounding Districts

The state government has approved the Badalpur-Kareli Barrage Cum Bridge project on the Mahi River, estimated at ₹1,700 crore. This project will store 183 million cubic meters of freshwater, address salinity issues, and provide clean drinking water to 409 villages, including those in the Vadodara district, benefiting over 1.5 million people.

During Q2'2026, average property prices for Athashree Inspera moved from ₹ 3,000/sqft to ₹ 3,350/sqft, reflecting a 11.67% rise.

Vadodara Ring Road Project: Phase 1 Nears Completion, Transforming Traffic

The first phase of the ambitious 75-meter wide Ring Road project in Vadodara, spanning 27.5 km and costing ₹316 crore, has been completed. The overall 66 km project, with an estimated cost of ₹1,500 crore, is designed to significantly reduce traffic pressure inside the city by diverting heavy vehicles and improving inter-regional connectivity.

Vadodara Ring Road Phase 1 Completed, Easing City Traffic

The first phase of the Vadodara Ring Road project, a 27.5-kilometer stretch costing Rs 316 crore, has been completed. This infrastructure initiative aims to significantly improve traffic flow. The project is part of a larger 66-kilometer ring road planned around the city, with an overall estimated cost of Rs 1,500 crore.
