Positives: It's one of Delhi's most sought after addresses. The area is famous for its high end independent residences, large builder floors, and accessibility to diplomatic enclaves. It's a calm, green, and well planned area with parks within every block. With good schools like Modern School and DPS in the vicinity, and proximity to IGI Airport and major roads. Negatives: Prices of property are one of the highest in Delhi, ranging from ₹90 lakh to ₹85.70 crore, depending on location and size. Also, parking problem because there is less space available, and traffic congestion is common. Vasant Vihar is still one of the top picks for those wanting luxury and ease of access in South Delhi.

Positives: You see, when my family purchased this lovely property in Vasant Vihar, we knew that we were making an investment in lifestyles, and I'm completely elated. The most striking aspect is the unmatched security and atmosphere, due to the diplomatic community and the broad, green streets. It really feels like a peaceful, green oasis. Add to this, with the Magenta Line metro and the IGI Airport being a driving distance away, the connectivity and location for international travel could not be better. Negatives: On that note, nothing is perfect! We certainly grapple with the two main downsides noted here. The bad traffic around Basant Lok market in the peak hours and the laughably high cost of living. It impacts everything from shopping for groceries to community services. Nonetheless, the tranquility and safety we experience here make the occasional traffic jam worthwhile.

Positives: As most Delhiites know, Vasant Vihar offers a very peaceful and serene lifestyle. The greenery here is top-class and it’s a different feeling once you enter to go home. Also, the wide roads are a major plus point and the proximity to the IGI Airport (you can reach in approximately 15 minutes). It’s posh, and so many embassies (Argentina, Romania, etc.) are also located here. The safety aspect is also top-notch with good policing and surveillance systems. If you want to stay in South Delhi, this is a good option. Negatives: I can only mention how congested it gets in Vasant Vihar in the peak hours these days.

Positives: Having a house in Vasant Vihar has been an absolute value for me. The area is amongst the safest places to reside, owing to the existence of several foreign embassies and round-the-clock security around the locality. The infrastructure is up-to-date and extremely well-managed, with clean and wide roads and a proper water supply. Day-to-day living is hassle-free with excellent schools, quality hospitals, and shopping malls all within close reach. The area is also well-connected, with metro stations, buses, and highways making it convenient to get around Delhi. Negatives: The only downside is the expensive lifestyle, but based on the safety, comfort, and living style here, Vasant Vihar is well worth it.

Positives: I have been residing in Vasant Vihar for 2 years. I would say that it's one of the better places in South West Delhi, in my opinion. I like the peaceful residential roads lined with luxury apartments and bungalows. I have easy proximity to premier schools like The Shri Ram School and Modern School, and hospitals such as Holy Angels and Goyal Medical Centre are close by. I like being within walking distance to shopping at Basant Lok Market and DLF Promenade. Metro access is great with the Magenta Line stop right here. Negatives: The only problem I have is occasional overcrowding around markets on weekends, but otherwise, life here is very comfortable and serene.

Positives: I refer to this neighbourhood as Delhi's tranquil elite pocket. I work here and I let clients know that it houses embassies, broad tree-lined avenues and spacious standalone houses, so security and privacy are strong. I imagine the neighbourhood divided into tidy blocks with pocket parks and neighbourhood markets, and I discover good schools, hospitals and high-end services within reach. I travel by the Vasant Vihar metro, and I observe that airport connectivity is rapid, so it is convenient for expats and frequent travellers. I observe constant demand from builders for luxury floors and villas. Negatives: I advise customers to be aware that I often notice very high property prices here, so I inform them that their budget needs to be huge before making a decision.

Positives: I stayed in Vasant Vihar for a short while when I was employed in South Delhi, and the feeling of security there was simply unparalleled. Being a diplomatic neighborhood with broad, tree-lined streets made it very quiet and secure, both during the day and night. We had excellent connectivity to the Magenta Line Metro, and the IGI Airport was always a quick ride away. And, of course, the beautiful green parks were a peaceful haven from the city. Negatives: First, the rent and cost of living generally seemed disproportionate and untenable in the long run. Second, the main roads, especially near Basant Lok, tended to be terribly jammed during peak hours. Third, even with the wealth, parking near the housing blocks and markets was quite often a nerve-racking bother.

Positives: I relocated here as my office is close by and I enjoy the green streets of Vasant Vihar; I pay rent on a small apartment in a residential complex. The area is high-end and has a lot of embassies, so one feels safe and green. My travel is convenient with the Vasant Vihar metro on the Magenta Line and good road connectivity to Chanakyapuri and the airport. Local shops, schools and hospitals are dependable, and parks offer me morning walk choices. Negatives: I noticed a few drawbacks in this area. It includes rents and property prices are high, main roads become congested during peak hours, and certain pockets experience waterlogging or old infrastructure following heavy rainfall. On the whole, Vasant Vihar is appropriate for professionals who prefer peaceful, safe and easy access to the city.
