    Its finest USP is being a calm, inexpensive residential centre in South West Kolkata with links to commercial areas such Taratala and Behala Industrial Estate. The wonderful access the operational Purple Line provides makes traveling easy via the Behala Chowrasta Metro Station is my main advantage. Reputed schools like M.P. Birla Foundation School, hospitals like Vidyasagar State General Hospital, and Diamond Plaza for entertainment. Rent is unexpectedly low compared to New Alipore, and the area feels very secure at night. Certainly, the most significant gaps are a lack of enough sizable, well-kept public parks for local leisure as well as restricted parking options on interior streets. All things considered, I absolutely advise living here.

    I bought my flat in Behala because this area really stands out with its mix of heritage elegance and contemporary amenities. Markets like Behala Bazaar and malls along Dr K D Mukherjee Road keep everything within reach, while the closeness to bus/auto routes and Arterial Diamond Harbour Road makes commuting much simpler. Neighborhood institutions and schools help me to feel somewhat more at ease. Though still relatively inexpensive, the region is appreciating constantly. The community feel and the mature residential areas with tree-lined streets appeal most to me. I think little details could be better, includes the metro route still misses essential interior areas, and parking in certain ancient buildings is constricted. Still, I strongly advise Behala to anyone seeking for a good spot to settle down.

    Positives: Over time, I find great beauty in how this location has evolved. Living in a calm area of Kolkata but still being closely connected to the metropolis feels like it. Travelling to central Kolkata has been made so simple thanks to the newly built Behala Chowrasta Metro Station. Nearby are schools like M.P. Birla Foundation as well as hospitals like Vidyasagar and B.P. Poddar. The region boasts friendly neighbourhood ambiance, great restaurants, and numerous local stores. Rental demand here is very high; property values are still moderate.

    Negatives: The only concerns I always see are waterlogging in certain sections following heavy rainfall, which needs adequate attention, and traffic congestion during office hours.

    Negatives: Many areas continue to struggle with effective drainage, which results in waterlogging when the monsoon arrives. Moreover, the internal roadways' condition following all the excavation calls for quick repair, and we want more committed, well-kept parks for our children to play.

    Positives: Given its affordable pricing and great connectivity, Behala was certainly the best option. This place is situated in South Kolkata, accessibility was especially important given the planned Joka-Esplanade Metro line's expected big increase for the public transportation network. Essential amenities were never far. We had excellent marketplaces, respectable schools like Behala High School, and dependable healthcare from establishments like Narayan Memorial Hospital. My time at this self-contained, reasonably middle-class neighbourhood was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

    Negatives: Surely the waterlogging during severe monsoon rains was the main problem. Finding simple and organised parking on main roadways close to the residential developments was sometimes also really difficult given the high density of the region.

    Positives: For decades, Behala has been my home. It still has that unique, bright South Kolkata allure. Major arteries such Diamond Harbour Road and the Taratala Flyover help us to be very networked nowadays. Notably, the forthcoming stations Behala Bazar and Behala Chowrasta will transform the ongoing Joka-Esplanade Metro Line. Good medical facilities nearby as well as amazing educational institutions like Behala High School exist. Nearby Behala Purono Bazaar market. And the proximity to green spaces like Rabindra Sarobar is lovely.

I selected this area since it is easily accessible to major centers like Tollygunge, Alipore, and Esplanade. Nearby are schools such M.P. Birla Foundation and National Gems; hospitals like CMRI and Woodland are within easy reach. Daily life is made easy by the abundance of small parks, marketplaces, and stores. Tenants have good rental returns from the affordable area.

    Negatives: Behala, though, still runs into rush hour traffic congestion. Conditions of roads and drainage in several inner lanes need enhancement. Furthermore, as little theft incidents were recently recorded, night security could be enhanced in less populated sections.

    Positives: Behala stands out in my recollections as a bright, ideal South Kolkata neighbourhood. Multiple hospitals as well as excellent institutions like Behala High School, were readily accessible for me.
