The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has initiated the planning process for Metro Line 14, which will connect Kanjurmarg to Badlapur. A new tender has been issued for consultants to overhaul project planning, conduct surveys, and prepare a Detailed Project Report.

MMRDA Allocates ₹4,897 Crore for Transport Infrastructure in Kalyan Region

MMRDA has allocated ₹4,897.19 crore in its 2026-27 budget to enhance transport infrastructure in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency. This funding will accelerate projects like Metro Line 5 and associated extensions, as well as ring road initiatives. The development is expected to improve connectivity and reduce congestion across Kalyan, Dombivli, Ambernath, and surrounding areas.
