model town is a locality in new , india. it was built by the dlf groups in the early 1950s and is amongst the earliest privately developed localities in delhi. model town is divided into sub-colonies and blocks. along with alipur and narela, model town is one of the administrative divisions of the districts. model town is located about 8 km from the center of delhi. it is divided into three sub-colonies, known as model town-i, model town-ii, and model town-iii. 


the infamous chhatrasal stadium is a prominent landmark near the locality. model town is also the house to the offices of the chief electoral commissioner and various corporate firms. the nearby localities to model town are guru tegbahadur nagar, dr. mukharjee nagar, and adarsh nagar.
