Harba Devi Temple, a 12th century temple, is located on Madh Island. According to the temple's historical evidence and documents, it was also attacked during World War II.
In front of Aksa Beach lies the Malad Fort, also known as Madh Fort. The fort overlooks the Arabian Sea and was conquered by the Maratha Empire in 1739. INS Hamla is a logistics and training facility for the Indian Navy which is also located in Malad.
