On 30th December 1957, the Delhi Development Board acquired its present name and role as its ninth builder of metropolitan Delhi. Authorities independently manage, plan, develop and build residential projects and commercial areas in the provincial capital. It also features public facilities such as parks, roads, bridges, ditches, community centres, and sports centres.
This agency is also responsible for designing master plans for the state's territories and regulating structured development. DDA also identifies new land that can be developed as residential real estate, creating self-contained colonies to provide ample space for commercial and retail complexes.
