Sector 33, Gurgaon

The proposed double-decker elevated road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk in Gurugram has been dropped due to feasibility concerns. Instead, separate structures will be constructed for road traffic and the metro line. Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) will modify metro station alignments to allow for a 3.3-km flyover by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

A new depot-cum-workshop for the upcoming metro line between Millennium City Centre and Cyber City will be constructed in Sector 33, estimated to cost around Rs 410 crore, to support train stabling, inspection, and maintenance for the 28.5 km elevated metro line. Also ,Streetlights across Gurugram will soon be operated via a centralized control and monitoring system (CCMS), replacing manual operations and inefficiencies.

The Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) has finalized the tender for the construction of a metro depot in Sector 33, with the tender estimated at over ₹400 crore. The tender has been sent for approval to higher authorities in Chandigarh. The Old Gurugram metro line will be connected to the new network via a spur from Sector 5 to the Gurugram Railway station, with an interchange station at Sector 5.
