Homebuyers of Amrapali projects, including Dream Valley, protested against the Amrapali Group in Noida's Sector 62, alleging fraud and failure to provide possession of flats in over ten projects in Noida and Greater Noida. The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) decided to lodge a complaint against the builder for cheating and forgery and threatened an indefinite sit-in at the SSP's office if an FIR was not filed. Homebuyers cited instances of booking flats in 2010 with promised possession in 2013, but still awaiting possession.

The Supreme Court sought responses from Amrapali and other parties regarding a plea by Dream Valley home buyers in Greater Noida, who claimed that insolvency resolution proceedings against Ultra Home Construction directly impact their project. The homebuyers stated that Amrapali Dream Valley is virtually owned by Ultra Home Construction, which holds over 75% shareholding, and both companies share the same directors. The petitioners requested the Supreme Court to treat the money paid by the homebuyers equally with the financial creditors or declare the flat buyers as a secured creditor.

Amrapali homebuyers, including those from Dream Valley, continued their indefinite protest, rejecting assurances from UP ministers regarding their grievances. The homebuyers expressed dissatisfaction with the proposed solutions and a lack of trust in Amrapali's ability to complete the project with co-developers. They demanded a written guarantee from the government for the delivery of their flats, with some buyers stating they had paid significant amounts years ago and were disappointed with the government's response.

The Supreme Court cancelled the registration of all Amrapali group of companies under RERA and the lease of its properties granted by Noida and Greater Noida authorities, directing the Enforcement Directorate to investigate the group for diverting homebuyers' money. The court directed NBCC to complete the unfinished housing projects in Noida and Greater Noida and hand them over to the homebuyers. The verdict came after petitions were filed by homebuyers seeking possession of around 42,000 flats booked in Amrapali Group projects.

51 buyers of Amrapali Dream Valley Enchante in Greater Noida West received keys to their apartments after waiting for a decade. NBCC began the handover process four years after being assigned to complete the stalled project. The Amrapali Dream Valley project was initiated in 2010, with Dream Valley Enchante construction starting in 2014, but was halted due to bankruptcy.

NBCC is developing over 10,000 additional apartments across five ongoing Amrapali projects in Greater Noida, utilizing previously unused land parcels. This expansion aims to maximize land utilization and generate additional revenue for construction costs.

The Supreme Court criticized Amrapali project homebuyers for not taking possession of flats and threatened to cancel bookings and sell the flats to other buyers. The court directed authorities to approve additional construction and environmental clearances swiftly. NBCC requires more funds to complete the project.

The Supreme Court directed that bookings be cancelled for Amrapali homebuyers who fail to take possession of their flats, with the properties to be resold. The court instructed Attorney General R Venkataramani to submit an updated report on unsold or unclaimed properties. Necessary compliances, such as uploading maps to a portal, had been completed for Centurion Park, Leisure Valley, Leisure Park, and Dream Valley projects.

Over 42,000 homebuyers in Noida and Greater Noida, including those in Amrapali Dream Valley, are struggling to get possession of their homes. A homebuyer who booked a flat in Amrapali Dream Valley in 2011 is still waiting for possession.

Hundreds of flat buyers in Amrapali Dream Valley in Greater Noida West have been troubled for years waiting for their homes and are burdened with the double whammy of EMI and rent. Despite winning the case in the Supreme Court and NBCC's involvement since 2018, many buyers are still unsure when their dream of owning a home will be fulfilled.

Amrapali project homebuyers protested outside the court receiver's office in Sector 62, alleging that their flats were cancelled and awarded to other players at a low cost. The buyers demanded a fair probe into the matter and alleged they were not given a chance to submit their representation.
