Following a consumer court order for Jaypee to pay a 12% penalty for delayed flats in the Kalypso project, buyers in other Jaypee projects, including those in Wish Town Sector 128, planned a protest rally on June 11 to demand delivery timelines for 25 different projects. A Jaypee spokesperson acknowledged delays and stated the company was making efforts to meet obligations and complete units, having issued possession letters for approximately 5,000 units in Wish Town.

Hundreds of home buyers protested at Jaypee Infratech's office in Sector 128, Noida, after the National Company Law Tribunal admitted IDBI Bank's insolvency petition against the company. The protesters broke barricades and forcefully entered the premises, demanding their money back. Anuj Jain, the appointed IRP, stated that the insolvency resolution process aimed to find a resolution and that a list of creditors, including flat owners, would be prepared.

Construction work has resumed at Jaypee Greens Knight Court in Sector 128, Noida, with authorization from the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The project, stalled since 2014 with approximately 60% of work completed, is expected to be finished within 15 months. Knight Court is among five projects in Wish Town developed by JAL, not Jaypee Infratech Ltd, which is undergoing insolvency resolution.

Suraksha Group has taken over Jaypee Infratech after a ruling from the NCLAT, with plans to inject Rs 125 crore to restart stalled projects in Delhi-NCR. The group will also pay YEIDA as scheduled. The takeover follows the NCLAT's decision on May 24 upholding Suraksha Realty's bid to acquire Jaypee Infratech, directing it to pay an additional Rs 1,334 crore as farmers' compensation.

Homebuyers of Jaypee Infratech Limited (JIL), led by JIL Real Estate Allottees Welfare Society (JREAWS), protested against the Suraksha Group for failing to resume construction work a year after the NCLT approved its resolution plan. The buyers have filed an application in the NCLT seeking the constitution of a monitoring committee to ensure timely delivery of units. The plea is scheduled to be heard on April 15, 2025.

A local court in Noida has ordered a 100-metre protest-free zone around Jaypee Infratech's headquarters in Sector 128, following a civil suit filed by Jaypee Infratech against protesting homebuyers. The order follows a demonstration on April 10, when over 125 homebuyers demanded clarity on construction timelines. Homebuyers have criticized the order, alleging it suppresses their concerns over stalled flats.
