    Living in Thane West is, to be honest, like having the ideal mix of urban convenience and suburban green, so making it safe and rather pleasant. Being right next to the Eastern Express Highway, Thane West offers great connection. It also is near to the Thane Railway Station, hence I really suggest it. The great quality of life with first-class schools, prominent Viviana and Korum Malls, and great hospitals like Jupiter Hospital is my favorite aspect. Friendly neighborhood with many parks and gorgeous lakes such Upvan. I must add, though, that some areas get terrible waterlogging and flooding during the peak monsoon season, therefore requiring much attention. and from the municipal government toward better circumstances.

    See, to be honest, I have fallen in love with this neighbourhood. It is somewhat like a symbol of new development, a new Mumbai region, so to speak! And of course, the Metro Line 9, tunnel to Borivali, and so many other infra projects will completely change the area, going forward. That’s why I invested here. My residential society people are so friendly, and I find it really easy to reach the railway station, while the Ghodbunder Road is the main connectivity lifeline when I am driving. Amenities are steadily being built up, while the sheer greenery all around is a rarity in a megapolis. The only issue is that the station feels unorganized, and the authorities may consider putting a crowd management system in place.

Although overall roads are good, the persistent peak-hour traffic jams are a pain, and the poor drainage system definitely requires immediate upgrading to deal with monsoon waterlogging.

    Thane West has rapidly developed into a desirable locality of Thane. There is easy access to the MMR and many other areas through the Ghodbunder Road and the Eastern Express Highway. Also, the railway line is there, while the Metro line 4 will hugely improve the connectivity to the Mumbai suburbs. The Thane-Borivali Tunnel is happening, and so is the MMR Ring Road. These two projects will lead to a major increase in property values in the future, which I am waiting for. I also love visiting the Korum and Viviana Shopping Malls nearby, along with the lakes and parks, which give the area a fantastic look. The only issue I have is that the waterlogging issue has not been fully fixed yet.

    Thane West area is an ideal combination of city comfort and nature; we are fortunate to have Upvan Lake and all these green parks close by, which makes it less like Mumbai. Connectivity is superb with the Eastern Express Highway and new metro line coming closer, making property affordable but highly sought after. With all those corporate offices lining Ghodbunder Road, professional opportunities are great, too. For prospective residents, though social facilities are among the best and it is a secure area, I do hope they can do something about the traffic jams at peak hours soon, particularly around the Kapurbawdi junction, to make commuting even easier every day.

    Thane West has been a delightful place to live near Mumbai. Now, it offers really good connectivity to Mumbai. That has always been a reason behind my investment here. The Eastern Express Highway is nearby, and also the Central Railway line is also accessible from the neighbourhood. Now, I hear that the Metro Line 4 (Wadala-Thane-Kasarvadavali) will boost travel time in the future for the locality. Even though I don’t live here, I still hear news of the Ghodbunder Road being widened and the twin tunnels coming up to connect Borivali and Thane. BEST and TMT bus networks are anyway available here, with the Thane railway station being accessible here as well. Social infrastructure is properly developed here too, although the crime rate is slightly high in some stretches of the wider zone.

Connectivity is great with Ghodbunder Road, Eastern Express Highway, Thane Railway Station, and several metro stations. I love the quality schools such as Podar International and Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, hospitals like Jupiter and Horizon Hospital, and shopping at R Mall, Viviana Mall, and Neptune Super Market. Upvan Lake Garden and TMC Biodiversity Park make it ideal for walks. But waterlogging during monsoons and traffic jams during peak hours can be better. Otherwise, Thane West is cozy, safe, and apt for families.

    Positives: It was such a treat to reside in Thane West. I always felt that I had the best of both worlds with the scenic beauty. Also, the greenery surrounding Upvan Lake and Yeoor Hills beautifully balances the urbanised lifestyle. The phenomenal connectivity was a major advantage, with the Thane railway station and the newly commissioned metro stations making my daily travel very convenient, to say nothing of the lifeline of Ghodbunder Road. I enjoyed the superior social infrastructure in the form of top-notch educational institutions such as Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School and hospitals such as Jupiter Hospital. But what was always the area that required attention was the drainage system, since some low-lying areas were unfortunately vulnerable to waterlogging.

The area has become very posh and costly, with multiple luxurious apartments being built here by top developers. In fact, Ghodbunder Road has completely changed, with all the complexes and other commercial buildings coming up here. Also, the area still remains green, despite all the construction that’s going on here. There’s an attempt by the authorities to put a planned layout in place, and that’s going to succeed, in my opinion. Yes, the traffic congestion is something I have to face regularly while returning from the office, but my experience here has been pretty good.

The biggest advantage is the fantastic connectivity. Ghodbunder Road is a lifeline, and the primary Thane station is so convenient, which is vital for my business trips. We have everything at our doorstep, from premier schools like Sulochanadevi Singhania for the children to giant shopping complexes like Viviana Mall. With the lovely Upvan Lake and Yeoor Hills nearby for weekend getaways. This is really a great investment and wonderful to bring up a family in. Negatives: The traffic during peak hours at the main intersections is a big headache. Navigating through the bottlenecks can add significant time to the daily journey.
