Living in Thane West is, to be honest, like having the ideal mix of urban convenience and suburban green, so making it safe and rather pleasant. Being right next to the Eastern Express Highway, Thane West offers great connection. It also is near to the Thane Railway Station, hence I really suggest it. The great quality of life with first-class schools, prominent Viviana and Korum Malls, and great hospitals like Jupiter Hospital is my favorite aspect. Friendly neighborhood with many parks and gorgeous lakes such Upvan. I must add, though, that some areas get terrible waterlogging and flooding during the peak monsoon season, therefore requiring much attention. and from the municipal government toward better circumstances.

For customers, I suggest Thane West. Strong rail links and improving metro connections make commuting simple by its proximity to Thane railway station and Eastern Express Highway. There are well-known markets for daily necessities as well as top schools, good hospitals, and major malls like Viviana and R Mall. Negative: Owing to inadequate drainage in some low-lying areas, extensive waterlogging was an issue during heavy monsoon rains. Moreover, the locality frequently suffered from an irregular water supply, which affected daily routine planning for most of its residents.

Both the Eastern and Western Highways are accessible, while the Ghodbunder Road has completely changed the game. It has transformed the profile of the locality, while the MMR is also pretty accessible. Pokhran Road and Ghodbunder Road have both become hubs of malls, upscale developments, and other amenities. Vasant Vihar is another locality that has become a desirable location for property buyers and investors in this neighbourhood. However, it is pertinent to mention that traffic jams and potholed roads are two big drawbacks that the authorities should fix promptly.

One issue that I can mention is the traffic jams along Ghodbunder Road in the morning and evening peak hours.

Positives: I selected Thane West primarily due to the fact that it is very central but also secure and established. The railway station is crucial for regular transportation, and with Metro Line 4, connectivity to Mumbai will further improve. I particularly adore the proximity to Talao Pali and Yeoor Hills providing excellent recreational areas. With Sanjeevan hospitals in close vicinity.

Negatives: The internal road traffic congestion, particularly in the station area and crowded markets, is seriously poor. The ongoing, slow-moving construction and expansion efforts for infrastructure and the metro sometimes appear to never cease, which causes noise pollution and dust that are badly needed to be addressed.

Positives: Thane West locality is special as it offers urban amenities with the greener spaces in the form of the adjacent Yeoor Hills, which I adore. The Thane Railway Station and the new Metro stations providing hassle-free city connectivity. The highlight is the presence of loads of amenities such as Viviana and Korum Mall all at my doorsteps making my long stay here quite comfortable.

Negatives: Traffic jams on important roads like Ghodbunder during rush hours it annoys me so much. Another problem is that some places are prone to getting flooded in the monsoon season because of lack of proper drainage. Moreover, we usually have a very poor shortage of regular water supply in the older buildings.

See, to be honest, I have fallen in love with this neighbourhood. It is somewhat like a symbol of new development, a new Mumbai region, so to speak! And of course, the Metro Line 9, tunnel to Borivali, and so many other infra projects will completely change the area, going forward. That’s why I invested here. My residential society people are so friendly, and I find it really easy to reach the railway station, while the Ghodbunder Road is the main connectivity lifeline when I am driving. Amenities are steadily being built up, while the sheer greenery all around is a rarity in a megapolis. The only issue is that the station feels unorganized, and the authorities may consider putting a crowd management system in place.

See, Thane West has developed a lot as a residential location in the MMR. Make no mistake about that. If you see the Ghodbunder Road and places nearer to the Eastern Express Highway, it looks straight out of any developed city brochure. The railway station continues to be a key connectivity hub here, while the Thane-Borivali tunnel and Metro Line 4 will completely transform the area. They are both in the pipeline, which is good news for us. The Thane West Station Access project, addition of social amenities, and preservation of greenery and lakes are things that make this a top-class place to stay.

I only wish that the Thane station is decongested, since it gets really crowded in the evenings and early mornings. The street vendors also take up a lot of space in and around the station, leading to congestion.

I have to say the fact that there are large malls and many business offices in the area makes it an ideal spot for working professionals.

Negatives: I noticed that waterlogging is a frequent and serious issue during the monsoon season owing to a poor drainage system. I believe the traffic jam, particularly along Ghodbunder Road. I have to point out the locality is known to experience frequently severe inadequacy of steady water supply.

Thane West can be called the glittering example of what Thane itself can be, in my opinion. The Ghodbunder Road has developed massively, and the effect is visible once you land here. Although overall roads are good, the persistent peak-hour traffic jams are a pain, and the poor drainage system definitely requires immediate upgrading to deal with monsoon waterlogging.

Thane West has rapidly developed into a desirable locality of Thane. There is easy access to the MMR and many other areas through the Ghodbunder Road and the Eastern Express Highway. Also, the railway line is there, while the Metro line 4 will hugely improve the connectivity to the Mumbai suburbs. The Thane-Borivali Tunnel is happening, and so is the MMR Ring Road. These two projects will lead to a major increase in property values in the future, which I am waiting for. I also love visiting the Korum and Viviana Shopping Malls nearby, along with the lakes and parks, which give the area a fantastic look. The only issue I have is that the waterlogging issue has not been fully fixed yet.

With all those corporate offices lining Ghodbunder Road, professional opportunities are great, too. For prospective residents, though social facilities are among the best and it is a secure area, I do hope they can do something about the traffic jams at peak hours soon, particularly around the Kapurbawdi junction, to make commuting even easier every day.

Thane West has been a delightful place to live near Mumbai. Now, it offers really good connectivity to Mumbai. That has always been a reason behind my investment here. The Eastern Express Highway is nearby, and also the Central Railway line is also accessible from the neighbourhood. Now, I hear that the Metro Line 4 (Wadala-Thane-Kasarvadavali) will boost travel time in the future for the locality. Even though I don’t live here, I still hear news of the Ghodbunder Road being widened and the twin tunnels coming up to connect Borivali and Thane. BEST and TMT bus networks are anyway available here, with the Thane railway station being accessible here as well. Social infrastructure is properly developed here too, although the crime rate is slightly high in some stretches of the wider zone.

Positives: We selected Thane West because, for a suburb of Mumbai, it's so well-planned and green. Thane Railway Station, Eastern Express Highway, and upcoming Metro lines makes travel to business districts a breeze. Good schools and major malls such as Viviana close by, along with the nice lakes and parks, which actually ease the stress of city living.

Negatives: But there are a few nagging problems still to be sorted out. The peak-hour traffic jams, particularly on highways. And the drainage system is certainly overdue for an upgrade, as some of the older and lower-lying areas are still plagued by serious waterlogging during heavy monsoons. And the spasmodic water supply, which is a daily nuisance.

Positives: I opted for Thane West a couple of years ago, and being a very contented owner here. I love the way so perfectly integrated we are, just off the Eastern Express Highway, with the new Kapurbawdi Metro line coming up to make it even easier. I visit Viviana Mall often and relax at the lovely Upvan Lake. Good schools and Jupiter Hospital in the vicinity make this a great family place.

Negatives: Yet, certain things are sincerely lacking. We must have a permanent solution to the drainage system to prevent waterlogging of low lying areas during monsoon. In addition, better street lighting is evidently required on some of the internal roads to increase night security.

Positives: While staying in Thane West, I absolutely loved its greenery and peaceful environment. The locality was well connected with Ghodbunder Road, Pokhran Road, metro stations, and Thane Railway Station. Podar International and Lodha World School schools were close by, and Jupiter and Aayush Multispeciality hospitals made it easy to avail medical care. Viviana, R Mall, and local bazaars made shopping simple, and Upvan Lake Garden provided peaceful areas.

Negatives: Still, monsoon waterlogging, traffic jams, poor street lights, potholes on certain roads, irregular water supply, and occasional safety issues were problems. Despite all these, Thane West was family friendly and well connected, although basic infrastructure, public facilities, and road maintenance could be much improved.

Thane West has been a pleasant experience for me. The area is well planned, green, and quiet, but lively with everything I require within close reach. Connectivity is great with Ghodbunder Road, Eastern Express Highway, Thane Railway Station, and several metro stations. I love the quality schools such as Podar International and Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, hospitals like Jupiter and Horizon Hospital, and shopping at R Mall, Viviana Mall, and Neptune Super Market. Upvan Lake Garden and TMC Biodiversity Park make it ideal for walks. But waterlogging during monsoons and traffic jams during peak hours can be better. Otherwise, Thane West is cozy, safe, and apt for families.
