Meerpet is a satellite city in Hyderabad and a municipal corporation in the Rangareddy district. The municipal corporation was formed when the municipalities of Meerpet and Jillelguda merged. This town is also home to Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple, a temple that is about 500 years old.
