The Pune Ring Road project, a major infrastructure initiative by MSRDC, is advancing through its planning, alignment finalization, and land acquisition phases. This 172-kilometer outer ring road aims to divert heavy traffic around the city and improve inter-city connectivity.

PMRDA is set to transfer the stalled Mahalunge-Maan Town Planning (TP) scheme to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) for implementation.. The scheme, spanning 250 hectares, aims to provide wider roads, open spaces, and social infrastructure, addressing years of deadlock over approvals.

Maharashtra government has decided to discontinue the use of 7/12 land extracts and replace them with property cards in areas newly merged into municipal corporations and councils. This change, aimed at streamlining property ownership records and reducing fraud, will provide clearer details of land and flat ownership, thereby safeguarding the interests of property holders.

Residents of the Mahalunge area are protesting long-standing civic issues such as inadequate roads, traffic management, water supply, and waste disposal. They are urging authorities to take immediate action to address these problems, which are causing accidents and health hazards. A protest was held on October 5th to draw attention to the unaddressed issues.
