Positives: I stayed in this area for a brief while, and I enjoyed its developing atmosphere. The local train at Mira Road station and several buses facilitated easy travelling to Mumbai and Thane. Accommodation was affordable compared to core Mumbai, with a lot of new apartment complexes and bustling markets and good local stores for essentials. Schools, clinics and small shopping malls were just around the corner. I also had the pleasure of morning walks along Vasai Creek and the neighbourhood parks. Negatives: The drawbacks were three: heavy traffic and long peak-hour delays; regular waterlogging of low-lying pockets during the monsoon; and civic services occasionally lagging behind fast construction, resulting in irregular roads and waste concerns. Nevertheless, I departed with practical memories of neighbourly assistance, and it was appropriate for a brief practical sojourn.

Positives: I completely like that all the essentials are here close by good schools as Podar Intl, N.L. Dalmia, hospitals, malls & shopping close by. Connectivity is also good, we have Mira Road railway station, plenty of bus routes, and the Western Express Highway nearby, which makes it easy for people to commute. Plus, property prices are lower than in central Mumbai, so you get more bang for your buck. Negatives: In the monsoon, drainage is also an issue, waterlogging occurs on low lying roads, and journeys become messy. Moreover, traffic in peak hours is congested heavily, particularly at toll plazas around Dahisar, and some inner roads towards Thane are narrow which leads to a slowdown.

Positives: I am very satisfied with the ambiance here. The area has nice rail and bus connectivity, so commutation to Mumbai is convenient. I like going to the Sunday market for reasonable shopping, and there are a few parks like Ramdev Park to unwind in the evenings. Schools and multi-specialty hospitals in the vicinity make it extremely convenient for daily living. Negatives: But there are some negatives. Roads to Thane become narrow and traffic heavy, and air pollution is evident. No 5-star restaurants or veterinary clinics are in the vicinity, and drainage can be an issue during monsoons. For all these, the greenery and proximity to shopping centers make Mira Road a pleasant place to reside, and I'm happy I made the choice.
