A geospatial study by GMDA shows that Gurugram's built-up area has increased by nearly 64% from 2015 to 2025. The study projects continued urban expansion along key development corridors through 2030 and was undertaken to inform planning for roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, public transport, and traffic management systems.
MCG's Committee has approved 26 development works worth Rs 171 crore. These projects aim to upgrade roads, expand water and sewerage networks, improve storm water drainage, strengthen the electrical system, install CCTV cameras in Sadar Bazar, and implement technology-based water management.
GMDA is planning a three-tier traffic system at Ambedkar Chowk by adding an underpass to an already approved four-lane flyover. This initiative aims to segregate traffic flows, reduce congestion, and ensure smoother movement at this key junction. The nearly 900-meter-long flyover will cost Rs 38 crore.
MCG has commenced significant civic infrastructure development projects in Sushant Lok 1, South City 1, Nirvana Country, and Palam Vihar. These projects include road repairs, linking stormwater drains, door-to-door waste collection, and sewage line cleaning. A total of Rs 88.35 crore will be utilized for these and expected to be completed within two months.
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is set to execute 35 road improvement projects, covering approximately 71 km, at a cost of Rs 145 crore. These projects aim to mitigate waterlogging and sewage overflow during the monsoon season by focusing on resurfacing and drainage enhancement in vulnerable areas like Mayfair Garden, Sector 66, Sushant Lok 3, and Nirvana Country.

This formidable legal organisation has full authority over managing and administrating any assets it has incorporated. The RWA and its president are highly regarded in the most thriving communities. Improvements to municipal services like electricity and water and common amenities like roads and streetlights are included. The RWA could also oversee other businesses, like bazaars, shops, transportation, and banks. The RWA plays a big part in ensuring these services dash safely. In sum, the Resident Welfare Association is a vital institution in the Indian states, responsible for the protection and well-being of the people under their watch. It is of the highest significance that RWAs be given the authority and assistance they need to carry out their roles in maintaining the facilities and services that are essential to a community.
