Kolad is a village in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is 120 km from Mumbai on State Highway 66 (Mumbai-Goa) and is also connected to Pune via the Pune-Kolad State Highway. It is located on the banks of the Kundalika river. Kolad's climate is highly variable. Spring (March to May) is hot and humid and the monsoon season (June to September) brings heavy rains. The winter months, from November to February, are characterised by moderate humidity and cool weather.
