As a tenant, Sohna is developing into a great place to live with a clearly tranquil atmosphere distant from the typical Gurgaon buzz. Simple access to calm sites like Damdama Lake and the Aravalli Range offer the ideal getaway. The most beneficial right now is the quickly growing connectivity via the Sohna Elevated Road and main roads, which dramatically reduces travel time to central Gurgaon and IGI Airport. Our excellent educational institutions, like GD Goenka World School nearby, provide us with many hospitals guaranteeing effective healthcare access. Still, public transportation alternatives within the small town are still very limited, hence counting on personal cars or taxis becomes vital, and this feature surely Daily commuting calls for more overall improvement.
Clients searching for investment and quiet life away from the hectic pace of Gurgaon, while keeping excellent urban access, find in Sohna an amazing chance. The quick infrastructure growth along Sohna Road, which offers easy access to the Golf Course Extension Road and the planned Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, is its main attraction. Appreciable recognition and strong long-term capital returns are driven by this future-ready connectedness. Established institutions abound in the area, including K.R. Mangalam University and GD Goenka World School. As growth advances, our rental yields here are moderate but increasing. The lack of immediate, high-end lifestyle needs available in different commercial and retail spaces that should catch up with the fast residential construction soon is the primary area requiring improvement. This strategic location presents growth potential and calm near the Aravalli foothills.
Positive: Though I'm still readily connected to major centers in Gurgaon, being right next to the gorgeous Aravalli hills makes me so revitalized. One great advantage is the very easy trip provided by the wide Sohna Road and new expressways. Clearly growing with new projects, the neighborhood makes our rental reasonably inexpensive and cozy. Good schools and major hospitals close provide me comfort since the basic services are respectable.
Negative: Public transportation is limited. Sometimes traveling without my own car can be difficult. And also traffic jam is a major issue. The committed retail and recreation areas still have some catching up to do with all the residential construction.
See, I invested in Sohna because of its growth potential. I work near Golf Course Extension Road and this stretch is convenient to access from the place. Cyber City and the IMT are also nearby, along with several reputed schools and hospitals. The people are friendly here, and there are several mega residential complexes that are being developed here. The 2031 Master Plan is at the root of the development work that is going on here. As a result, it will ultimately transform into a coveted locality in the next few years.
Some of the issues here include the erratic water supply and frequent power cuts, along with waterlogging after heavy rains.
I find Sohna an extremely practical place to stay in Gurgaon. South of Gurgaon has come up in a big way, with multiple infra project and top-class real estate developments being built here. Property rates are also going up lately, which has added more value to my own investment. Also, I feel that connectivity-wise, the elevated corridor has transformed the experience of commuting each day. NH-48 and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway are also close by, while I am bullish about the upcoming Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor. It will add more to the development here. However, the water and power supply need to be improved, although I am confident that it will happen soon.
Positive: Sohna, near the Aravallis, was my preference for its scenic beauty and proximity to Sohna Road. Access was mostly road-based with the bus stand close by, though the metro was far. Nearby schools were GD Goenka and hospitals Vardaan Hospital. Given the rapid development in the area, prices were reasonable compared to Gurgaon's central part.
Negative: The community needed some crucial improvements still. Getting around without an individual car was difficult since public transportation within the area was not available and spread out enough. Secondly, we experienced serious water shortages within the hottest months of the year that impacted daily habits. Although development was rapid, smarter planning for necessary utilities would greatly enhance life.
Positives: I shifted here some time back for the serene environment and greens close to the Aravallis. Safety is in general good, and access to the Sohna-Gurgaon highway is convenient. I like the closeness of proper emergency facilities, and I still find rents very reasonable. Hospitals are a reasonable drive away, and my experience here has been satisfactory.
Negatives: I dislike very much the long drive to arrive at the nearest metro station. We require better public transport to link us to the central city. Besides, the quality of internal roads in my sector is not good, which is a recurring headache for my vehicle's health. I wish that the authorities would repair these dire infrastructure problems.
Positives: Having been a tenant here at Sohna and I like its serene combination of tranquility and increasing connectivity. Being located bang in the foothills of Aravalli makes it picturesque, and the security is reassuring. We have easy access to Gurgaon through Sohna Road, and the rentals are much lower compared to the city. Having K.R. Mangalam University and decent local hospitals close by is a plus for my family.
Negatives: My biggest worry is that public transport remains underdeveloped. We genuinely require additional core social infrastructure such as improved parks and dedicated recreation facilities. The town frequently suffers from acute water scarcity during summer, which is a pressing, annoying problem that requires improvement immediately.
I was very confident about investing in the South of Gurugram, as they call Sohna, these days. I had done my research and knew that the locality had huge future potential. This is because of the Elevated Corridor to Gurgaon (Makes life simpler), and also the planned development of nearby zones, where you’ll find hospitals like Medanta, schools like GD Goenka, and many other amenities. Prices were reasonable back then, and I am already happy about the appreciation, since this is going to be the next development corridor. One of the things I like about staying here is how easy it is to just get down to the Damdama Lake and relax. The only issue is still power and water supply shortages, but they will get resolved soon.
From schools like GD Goenka to Medanta and other hospitals, Sohna offers access to the entire infrastructure we look for, as a family. The Elevated Corridor has been an excellent project, lowering the travel time to main Gurgaon. I find the property rates still reasonable here, with excellent future appreciation potential. One of the biggest advantages of living here is the lovely views of the Aravalli hills. Also, many nearby tourist attractions are there, which we visit on weekends, including the famous Shiva Temple, Damdama Lake for boating, and the Sohna Hill Fort. I think power and water supply are the key things that need to be fixed in this locality.
I feel at ease residing in this region, and I can say that it has a peaceful charm. It falls on NH-248A with proper road connectivity and increasing projects that ease the journey to Gurgaon. Gated societies, markets and gardens, and evening strolls beside lakes and parks, the region has all these. I am safe on most days, due to community presence and several families opt for it for affordable rentals and new housing options. Future metro projects and highway extension ensure improved connectivity in the near future. Though I am plagued by two problems. Sohna continues to be slightly distance from central Gurgaon for daily office work. There are certain local roads that are not even and waterlogged due to rain. Even so, I suggest Sohna for serene and economic living.
Positives: I am comfortable living in Sohna and I must say it is peaceful and charming as opposed to central Gurgaon. It's well connected through NH248 and local transport, with metro extensions in the offing. I like the open areas, greenery, and lakes surrounding it. Rentals seem to be reasonable and a lot of families and working professionals use this locality for low-cost living. Small offices, shops, and upcoming commercial ventures provide convenience.
Negatives: I also see a few problems. Sohna is slightly off from the middle of Gurgaon, so daily trips are longer. Some roads are bumpy and require resurfacing. Some isolated lanes seem dimly lit during the night. For all of these, however, I still like residing here for peace andthe vast open spaces.
Sohna has been a good investment destination for me. That’s visible, since the appreciation in property prices has been excellent, especially with more top projects being developed here by leading brands. As far as living here is concerned, my overall experience has been pretty decent. Sohna Road is the hub of the locality, and the elevated corridor makes Gurgaon more accessible. The social amenities in many of the housing societies are pretty good, and the community feeling is also happening within the last 2-3 years.
See, more social amenities are required, along with last-mile connectivity. Traffic bottlenecks along Sohna Road are also a key issue.
I visit Sohna's road every day and I inform customers this area is developing rapidly and robust. Sohna Road connects suitably with NH248A and the Southern Peripheral Road. Recently raised corridors and proposed metro extensions guarantee quicker commutes and improved connectivity. The region boasts growing residential schemes, quality schools and hospitals. Prices are relatively still affordable compared to central Gurgaon but provide bigger houses and consistent rental interest from office workers. Green enclaves and surrounding Aravalli foothills provide actual open vistas and quieter ambiance than the city. Locality markets and newer retail complexes make life easy on a day-to-day basis. I would suggest Sohna for homebuyers looking for value and long-term appreciation. Two areas for improvement are regular traffic jams on market sections and irregular drainage and road maintenance.
I will give a full rating to Sohna, at least in my own experience. I believe that this is going to be the hottest future real estate corridor of Gurgaon, and that’s why I have invested here. Already, there has been huge property price appreciation on Sohna road, and the six-lane elevated corridor has made travelling to main Gurgaon very easy. The KMP and upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressways is steadily making this a prime location. The 2031 Master Plan and affordable home prices are still giving a boost to the property market here, along with multiple commercial zones that are coming up nearby. If the traffic jams come down, then it will be a perfect ten on ten for me!
Affordability of the Sohna area is great in comparison to core Gurgaon. Our quality of life remains high with excellent balance of peace and greens in proximity to the Aravallis. Due to the improved Sohna Road and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connecting us swiftly to prime locations. We also have tremendous future potential with educational centers such as GD Goenka University close by and future industrialization coming up in the IMT sector, thus promising long-term appreciation. We are extremely secure here in our gated community. My only key recommendation for enhancement is the imperative necessity to increase dedicated public transport like ubiquitous government buses since otherwise traveling without a personal vehicle can be a tad cumbersome.
Sohna has been a good place to live, although I’ve moved out some time back, I still have a keen interest in how the locality is doing. The upcoming metro network extension will boost the area, and the main USP has always been the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connectivity. The elevated corridor is also excellent for lowering the travel time to about 20 minutes to reach Gurgaon. There is also the advantage of staying near the KMP Expressway, and the Orbital Rail Corridor will also come up here alongside. The industrial model township is also coming up nearby, which will boost job creation here as well. There are housing options for every budget, while the Damdama Lake used to be a popular hangout when I used to stay here. The Shiv Kund natural hot springs are also present here.
I think that more schools and hospitals should be planned for the locality, while restaurants and other entertainment options are also needed here. Water supply issues are also present in the area.
Negatives: I relocated to Sohna for peace and the green Aravalli scenery, and I am really satisfied with the transition. Connectivity has also greatly enhanced with Sohna Road and the forthcoming KMP Expressway, connecting us well with Gurgaon and Delhi. The area is more peaceful, concentrating on residential development and not humongous corporate offices, which suits me.
Positives: Sohna is still very distant from the primary city hubs of Gurgaon. The public transportation is very poor, rendering automobile dependency very high. Water scarcity is a persistent theme, particularly during summer peaks. We absolutely need to have more mass-scale commercial and retail complexes here to increase everyday convenience. This location has tremendous potential in the long run.
Positives: As a new home owner in Sohna, I feel so fortunate. The biggest single reason for me is the new Sohna Elevated Corridor, which links me to Gurgaon's prime centers very quickly. With world class institutions like GD Goenka University and relatives' entertainment just minutes away at Damdama Lake, this is definitely a lively, green neighborhood with great future prospects.
Negatives: Yet, for an entirely self sufficient living, public transport connectivity for daily commuting must be much more prevalent in the newer sectors. We also certainly require more large-scale operational shopping and entertainment centers, and upgrades in steady municipal water supply in all developing societies is something I particularly hope gets sped up sooner rather than later.
Positives: This area is nice. It has many schools, and hospitals like K.R. Manglam Hospital were close by. Shopping and eating out were also easy with malls like Omex City Centre and local restaurants. Areas like Sohna Road and Golf Course Extension Road provided easy connectivity to Gurgaon and Delhi.
Negatives: Public transport was poor, traffic jam was widespread, and there were summer water shortages. Roads required repair, limited parking area, air pollution was increasing, street lighting was poor, and waste management needed improvement. In spite of these, Sohna provided tranquility, greenery, and an improving infrastructure, although basic facilities and services still await development.
