Sunny Ahuja filed a complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) regarding delays in the possession of a plot in Raheja Aranya City on Sohna Road, Gurgaon. The NCDRC directed Raheja Developers to refund ₹1,19,88,202 with 9% simple interest from the date of deposit, and also pay ₹50,000 as litigation costs.

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) ruled in favor of Sunny Ahuja, who complained about delays in the possession of a plot allotted in Raheja Aranya City, Sohna Road, Gurgaon. The commission directed Raheja Developers Ltd. to refund the entire amount with 9% simple interest and to pay ₹50,000 as litigation costs, stating that force majeure clauses did not absolve the developer of their obligations.

Raheja Aranya City is a 220-acre smart green city project by Raheja Developers located in Sector 11 and 14 of Sohna (South of Gurgaon), near IMT Sohna. The project is located on National Highway 248A, 5-10 minutes drive from KMP expressway.

The complainant, Mohit Bansal, booked the plot in February 2012 and was promised possession by February 2015, but even after eight years, he had yet to receive his property or the money he had paid for it.
