The East-West Metro Corridor in Kolkata is nearing its final stages of construction, with officials indicating that trial runs will commence shortly after completion. The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) inspection will follow, and commercial services will begin only after receiving a go-ahead from the CRS. Bengal Silicon Valley Project Advances with New Construction Updates

NKDA will upgrade and redevelop the roads in the central business district (CBD) area of New Town. The authorities have estimated Rs 1.9 crore for the CBD area and Rs 67 lakh for the stretches of street 335.
