Airlines like Cathay Cargo, Air France, and Lufthansa Cargo are exploring or confirming shifts to Navi Mumbai.

International Flights to Begin from Navi Mumbai Airport on July 15

Navi Mumbai International Airport will commence international passenger and cargo operations from July 15, 2026. Airlines such as Air India Express and IndiGo are slated to operate international flights from the Adani Group-owned facility.

Navi Mumbai Gears Up for Major Infrastructure Push with ₹16,250 Crore Budget

CIDCO has unveiled an ambitious ₹16,250 crore budget for FY27, signaling a significant infrastructure expansion centered around the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The plan includes developing integrated zones like Aerocity, EduCity, and MediCity to drive economic activity and attract investments.

During Q1'2026, average property prices for Shree Cozy Square moved from ₹ 10,700/sqft to ₹ 12,350/sqft, reflecting a 15.42% rise.

The 5.8-kilometer Ulwe Coastal Road, with an additional 0.9-kilometer link to the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) terminal, is on track for completion by September 2026, with traffic expected to commence by October or November. This project by CIDCO will provide a direct route from the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (Atal Setu) to NMIA, saving travelers approximately 25 minutes.

The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 30, 2025, and is expected to alleviate congestion at the existing Mumbai airport. The airport's design is inspired by the lotus flower and will feature modern, sustainable infrastructure. The Mahayuti government delayed the inauguration due to pitru paksha, considering September 30 an auspicious date. The airport will be accessible via road, rail, and water transport, including the Atal Setu.
