Amrapali Group launched Amrapali Crystal Homes in Sector 76, Noida, as part of the 43-acre Amrapali Silicon City, offering 3 and 4 BHK apartments with modern amenities. The project spans 7 to 10 acres and features 9 towers.

Homebuyers of Amrapali projects, including Crystal Homes, protested against the Amrapali Group in Noida's Sector 62, alleging fraud and failure to provide possession of flats as promised in 2013. They threatened an indefinite sit-in if an FIR was not filed against the builder.

Amrapali homebuyers, protesting since August 12, refused to end their stir despite assurances from UP ministers regarding their grievances. They expressed dissatisfaction with the proposed solutions and demanded written assurance from the government for flat delivery.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police registered a case against Amrapali group concerning the 'Crystal Homes' project, following a complaint of unfulfilled promises made during booking in 2013. The complainant alleged that the project was marketed as part of Amrapali Silicon City with modern amenities and a completion timeline of 48 months, which was not met.

The Supreme Court cancelled the RERA registration of the Amrapali Group and directed NBCC to complete the unfinished housing projects, including Amrapali Crystal Homes. The court appointed a receiver and stated that the rights of the properties would vest in the Court Receiver.

NBCC took over the Amrapali Crystal Homes project to complete the stalled project. Construction work gained momentum at the beginning of 2021.
