Gurgaon Metro Expansion: Land Ownership Clarification Sought for Palam Vihar Ext & Sector 21

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is set to reconstruct a three-decade-old master stormwater drain along the Old Delhi-Gurgaon Road. The 2.8 km stretch, estimated to cost Rs 32 crore, aims to eliminate drainage bottlenecks and prevent waterlogging during heavy rainfall.

Gurgaon Civic Body Tackles Encroachments to Improve Infrastructure

The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has launched a large-scale anti-encroachment drive across 44 sectors in Gurgaon to clear public land designated for infrastructure like roads and utilities. This move aims to restore the intended width of roads, which have been narrowed by unauthorized constructions, thereby easing the strain on civic infrastructure.

GMDA has re-tendered a project to upgrade a sewage pumping station in Sector 9A with a 665.5 MLD capacity to address sewage backflow issues, estimating the project to cost Rs 97.6 crore and take two years to complete. The GMDA also approved a Rs 70 crore project to reconstruct over 4.2 km of a master stormwater drain network in sectors 21, 22, and 23.
