CM Devendra Fadnavis announced that Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and the Pune Metropolitan region will soon have a nearly 200 km Metro network. The reopening follows public frustration over the bridge's prolonged closure due to the construction of a pedestrian bridge connecting the Deccan Gymkhana Metro Station to the Peth area.
