Sohna is a major locality in , Haryana and has mushroomed into a favored destination for real estate investments over the years. In terms of connectivity Sohna lies approximately 25 minutes away from the HUDA City Centre which is also the last metro station in Gurgaon. The Golf Course Extension Road is also being extended into several areas of the town. The Sohna Road connects the town to Gurgaon and the National Highway 8 is also accessible as a result. The Sohna Road will also connect to New Gurgaon through the Northern and Southern Peripheral Roads in the future. Badshahpur lies 15 minutes away from the locality while its hot springs and the Damdama lake are major tourist attractions.

There are several infrastructural developments that promise to change the face of Sohna in the future. Two clover-leaf junctions are being developed on the KMP Expressway while the town will also offer access to the dedicated freight corridor that connects Mumbai and Delhi. Another 90 metre wide road will be built for linking in Gurgaon to Sohna within only 10-15 roads. The Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation has already acquired 1, 500 acres for building an Industrial Model Township between the KMP Expressway and Sohna. There will be sports and leisure hubs built along the KMP Expressway by the Haryana government in the future. The proposed DMIC covers 1,483 kilometres and will be a major factor behind possible property appreciation in Sohna along with the upcoming Sohna Bypass. Proximity to Gurgaon is another plus while several commercial, residential industrial, institutional, public utility, open spaces and agricultural zones have been demarcated in the town as per the master plan. 

Sohna also offers good affordable housing prospects which are something that has fueled realty growth here. There are several townships coming up here along with plotted developments. Proximity to several educational institutions like the GD Goenka World School and KR Mangalam University along with the Westin Sohna Resort and the Ascendas IT & ITeS project has also fueled demand for property in Sohna.  

Developers like Parsvnath, CHD Developers, Raheja, Supertech, One Group and Urban Realty have come up with projects in this belt. Projects cover mid range, luxury and affordable categories with the average prices ranging between INR 3900-4250 per sq. ft. Property prices have increased marginally above 1% over the last year and property prices can also go up to INR 5,250 per sq. ft. in Sohna for luxury projects like Silverglades The Melia First Citizen. Other popular projects include Central Park 3 and Gold Souk Golf Links to name a few.
