Central was the first major area of development after commercial success of DLF City. It is the heart and lifeline of Gurgaon – its markets, its offices, and its residences. It was only hub of commercial activity for long time, and MG Road is still the hottest retail destination and Cyber City area hottest business destination. There are plenty of residential high rise options built around these business hubs. Most of the construction is fairly old – over 10 years mostly, though there are some newer options as well. Most of the newer constructions are happening in independent floors as occupancy in plotted areas is not 100%. Many of the localities are hot popular destinations among the rich for luxury villa construction. Central Gurgaon is the only area almost completely connected through Delhi Metro and Rapid Metro. Since most of the construction is old, interiors and specifications are good only where renovation has been done by the owner. Similarly most people rely on amenities outside the project, though such facilities like clubhouse, spas, gyms are in abundance and top quality too. Most people living in other locations (including ) will find themselves shuttling to central Gurgaon quite frequently.
Markets & Shopping: If there is a brand or retailer, Central Gurgaon has to have it. Sheer presence of the class of gentry makes it starting point for brands. With plenty of malls, smaller retail markets, access to MG Road, and many of the main roads in colonies converted to commercial retail space – there is plenty of options covering all needs, and then some more.
Institutional and Commercial Areas: Central Gurgaon has plenty of commercial spaces, with more emerging along Metro routes. With excellent connectivity to office spaces across Gurgaon and to Delhi, this is not a paramount criterion for home buyers. Wherever one might work, it will never be painfully far away.
Infrastructure: Being a relatively older location, civic infrastructure is not a major concern – though planning of internal roads etc. can be a concern for people buying independent floors inside the sectors.

  • Among the best location to live in Gurgaon – great connectivity and very high livability
  • Paradise for those seeking awesome connectivity and good lifestyle with high convenience
  • Rapid Metro and Delhi Metro along with decent main roads make life a breeze
  • Well-established gentry and lower rental play makes it great for community building
What’s Not Great
  • Premium pricing – location based premium pricing not always feasible to justify
  • Potential civic infra issues in HUDA sectors for those opting for independent floors
  • Safety and security issues in some plotted development areas
  • Super high premium demanded by builders developing the floors
Watch out for
  • Works if livability and connectivity is clear preference over lifestyle
  • Public Transport.
  • Prices are on the higher side.
