New routes from Khadakwasla to Donaje, Katraj to Khed Shivapur, Katraj to Undri, and Wagholi to Lonikand have been sanctioned. These extensions are expected to improve connectivity to Sinhagad Fort, the proposed outer ring road, and newly developing areas.

PMC has allocated ₹740 crore in its 2026-27 budget to enhance traffic infrastructure, including road repairs, flyover-bridge projects. .A separate allocation of Rs 100 crore has been made for the development of the Katraj-Kondhwa road. Also, Ghorpadi railway overbridge, Aga Khan riverbridge and Suncity-Karvenagar riverbridge are planned to be completed before monsoon.

The projects are part of broader plans to decongest main arterial roads.
